El <strong>Centro de Operaciones de Emergencias (COE)<\/strong> emiti\u00f3 su primer informe a las 11:00 a.m. del 26 de septiembre de 2025, y las cifras son desoladoras: <strong>1 persona fallecida<\/strong>, <strong>351 viviendas da\u00f1adas<\/strong>, <strong>1,781 personas desplazadas<\/strong> y <strong>9 comunidades incomunicadas<\/strong>. La causa: una <strong>onda tropical con potencial cicl\u00f3nico<\/strong> que ha azotado al pa\u00eds con una fuerza que ha dejado a miles en estado de emergencia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En <strong>Azua<\/strong>, el R\u00edo T\u00e1bara se desbord\u00f3, arrasando con <strong>160 viviendas<\/strong> y desplazando a <strong>774 personas<\/strong>. El Liceo Gregorio Luper\u00f3n, ahora un albergue, acoge a <strong>26 personas<\/strong> que lo perdieron todo. \u00abNo es solo el agua, es el no saber qu\u00e9 viene despu\u00e9s\u00bb, confes\u00f3 una mujer mientras abrazaba a sus hijos, todos con la mirada perdida. En <strong>Monte Plata<\/strong>, el colapso de un puente se cobr\u00f3 la vida de un conductor, dejando a dos comunidades aisladas y a una familia destrozada. \u00abEra un hombre trabajador, solo quer\u00eda llegar a su casa\u00bb, record\u00f3 un vecino, mientras las autoridades intentaban restablecer el acceso.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>San Pedro de Macor\u00eds<\/strong> tambi\u00e9n sufri\u00f3. El R\u00edo Soco se desbord\u00f3, afectando a <strong>nueve comunidades<\/strong> y dejando a sus habitantes sin comunicaci\u00f3n. En <strong>Ver\u00f3n-Punta Cana<\/strong>, <strong>26 viviendas<\/strong> quedaron bajo el agua, y en <strong>Santiago<\/strong>, <strong>150 familias<\/strong> vieron c\u00f3mo sus casas se inundaban. Mientras, en <strong>La Altagracia<\/strong>, las calles se convirtieron en r\u00edos, y los vecinos intentaban salvar lo poco que pod\u00edan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pero el problema va m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de las viviendas. <strong>Diez acueductos<\/strong> quedaron inutilizables, dejando a <strong>17,925 personas sin agua potable<\/strong>. El <strong>INAPA<\/strong> trabaja sin descanso para restablecer el servicio, pero en zonas como <strong>Placer Bonito<\/strong>, los vecinos deben caminar kil\u00f3metros para conseguir un balde de agua. \u00abSin agua, sin luz y con el miedo a que vuelva a llover, esto es como vivir en una pesadilla\u00bb, dijo un hombre mientras llenaba recipientes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Las autoridades no se han quedado de brazos cruzados. El <strong>COE<\/strong>, la <strong>Defensa Civil<\/strong> y la <strong>Cruz Roja<\/strong> han activado protocolos de emergencia, desplegando equipos de rescate y albergues temporales. \u00abEstamos haciendo todo lo posible, pero necesitamos que la gente entienda el peligro\u00bb, advirti\u00f3 un vocero del COE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El pron\u00f3stico no es alentador. El COE advirti\u00f3 que las lluvias <strong>continuar\u00e1n<\/strong>, con riesgo de <strong>nuevas inundaciones<\/strong>.
