En su conferencia <strong>\u00abCiudades Inteligentes y Oportunidades para Pymes\u00bb<\/strong>, Mej\u00eda destac\u00f3 que, seg\u00fan el <strong>Global Entrepreneurship Monitor 2024\/2025<\/strong>, <strong>una de cada ocho personas en edad laboral en Am\u00e9rica<\/strong> participa en actividades emprendedoras, con <strong>Estados Unidos registrando un r\u00e9cord del 19%<\/strong> de su poblaci\u00f3n adulta involucrada en este sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>El impacto de las Mipymes en la econom\u00eda<\/strong> Mej\u00eda cit\u00f3 datos de la <strong>CEPAL<\/strong> que revelan que las <strong>Mipymes representan el 99% del tejido empresarial en Am\u00e9rica Latina<\/strong>, generan <strong>m\u00e1s del 60% de los empleos formales<\/strong> y aportan hasta el <strong>38.6% del PIB<\/strong>. En el caso de <strong>Rep\u00fablica Dominicana<\/strong>, estas empresas constituyen el <strong>98.4% del total<\/strong>, generan <strong>m\u00e1s de tres millones de empleos<\/strong> y contribuyen con el <strong>32% del PIB<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"985\" height=\"777\" src=\"https:\/\/romanticany.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Carolina-Mejia-e1712356553664.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-100385\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Programas para democratizar la innovaci\u00f3n<\/strong> \u00abEs indispensable impulsar programas que <strong>democraticen la innovaci\u00f3n<\/strong> y permitan a cada joven con una idea convertirla en realidad\u00bb, afirm\u00f3 Mej\u00eda. La alcaldesa resalt\u00f3 que el <strong>Gobierno est\u00e1 realizando grandes esfuerzos<\/strong> para ampliar la cobertura de apoyo a los emprendedores, especialmente en sectores como <strong>agrotech<\/strong> y <strong>productividad desde el campo<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Un evento para impulsar el emprendimiento<\/strong> El <strong>EmprendeLab 2025<\/strong> incluy\u00f3 paneles sobre <strong>innovaci\u00f3n, casos de \u00e9xito empresarial<\/strong> y proyectos de impacto, con la participaci\u00f3n de instituciones como <strong>Promipyme<\/strong> e <strong>INDOTEL<\/strong>.
