Medina calific\u00f3 este argumento como <strong>enga\u00f1oso<\/strong> y explic\u00f3 que, si ese fuera el caso, la deuda p\u00fablica no habr\u00eda crecido de <strong>35,000 a 60,000 millones de d\u00f3lares<\/strong> durante la gesti\u00f3n de Abinader. <em>\u00abSi \u00e9l hubiese dedicado a pagar pr\u00e9stamos vencidos, su deuda no hubiese subido al nivel en que est\u00e1\u00bb<\/em>, afirm\u00f3 Medina durante un acto del <strong>Partido de la Liberaci\u00f3n Dominicana (PLD)<\/strong> en Santiago, donde advirti\u00f3 que el <strong>ritmo de endeudamiento actual es insostenible<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El expresidente aclar\u00f3 que <strong>refinanciar deudas<\/strong> no deber\u00eda aumentar el monto total de la deuda, ya que pagar una obligaci\u00f3n vencida con un nuevo pr\u00e9stamo no genera un incremento neto. <em>\u00abSi yo debo 1,000 y tomo 1,000 para pagarla, sigo debiendo 1,000; pero si tomo 1,500, entonces mi deuda crece en 500 m\u00e1s\u00bb<\/em>, ejemplific\u00f3, se\u00f1alando que el pa\u00eds enfrenta un <strong>aumento alarmante en los pagos de intereses<\/strong>, que pasar\u00e1n de <strong>298,000 millones de pesos en 2025<\/strong> a <strong>324,000 millones en 2026<\/strong>. <em>\u00abEsta econom\u00eda no resiste por mucho tiempo esa tendencia\u00bb<\/em>, advirti\u00f3 Medina, quien inst\u00f3 a Abinader a <strong>revisar el nivel de gasto p\u00fablico<\/strong> para evitar una crisis fiscal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Medina tambi\u00e9n critic\u00f3 el <strong>incremento desmedido del gasto p\u00fablico<\/strong>, especialmente en la <strong>n\u00f3mina estatal<\/strong> y las <strong>transferencias al sector el\u00e9ctrico<\/strong>, que, seg\u00fan sus proyecciones, alcanzar\u00e1n <strong>120,000 millones de pesos<\/strong> en 2026. <em>\u00abTiene que pagar 111,000 millones en transferencias al sector el\u00e9ctrico este a\u00f1o, pero el a\u00f1o que viene eso va a llegar a 2,000 millones de d\u00f3lares\u00bb<\/em>, detall\u00f3, a\u00f1adiendo que la n\u00f3mina p\u00fablica ha crecido de <strong>204,000 a 358,000 millones de pesos<\/strong>, con un incremento adicional de <strong>32,000 millones en pensiones<\/strong> para personas que, seg\u00fan Medina, <em>\u00abno cumplen con los requisitos para recibirlas\u00bb<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El expresidente advirti\u00f3 que, si no se toman medidas correctivas, el <strong>gasto corriente superar\u00e1 los 398,000 millones de pesos<\/strong> en 2026, una cifra que la econom\u00eda dominicana <strong>no podr\u00e1 soportar<\/strong>. <em>\u00abEl presidente tiene que revisar su nivel de gasto, porque la econom\u00eda dominicana no resiste ese nivel de gasto\u00bb<\/em>, reiter\u00f3 Medina, subrayando que esta situaci\u00f3n representa un <strong>riesgo grave<\/strong> para la estabilidad econ\u00f3mica del pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>El expresidente Danilo Medina respondi\u00f3 este domingo a las declaraciones del presidente Luis Abinader, quien defendi\u00f3 su pol\u00edtica de endeudamiento argumentando que el 80% de los pr\u00e9stamos contratados se han destinado a pagar deudas heredadas.
