Fern\u00e1ndez critic\u00f3 que el <strong>Proyecto de Presupuesto General del Estado para 2026<\/strong>, sometido al <strong>Congreso Nacional<\/strong>, mantenga <strong>congelada por sexto a\u00f1o consecutivo<\/strong> la cifra del salario exento en <strong>RD$34,685<\/strong>, sin aplicar la <strong>indexaci\u00f3n por inflaci\u00f3n<\/strong> que establece la ley. Seg\u00fan el legislador, esta decisi\u00f3n <strong>afecta directamente a m\u00e1s de 300,000 trabajadores<\/strong>, quienes pierden poder adquisitivo debido al <strong>impacto de la inflaci\u00f3n<\/strong> sobre sus ingresos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El senador, miembro de la <strong>Fuerza del Pueblo<\/strong>, advirti\u00f3 que la <strong>falta de ajuste<\/strong> en la escala salarial exenta equivale a <strong>quitarle una canasta b\u00e1sica completa al a\u00f1o<\/strong> a cada trabajador en ese rango salarial, ya que el <strong>costo promedio de la canasta b\u00e1sica<\/strong> se sit\u00faa en <strong>RD$46,716<\/strong>. Fern\u00e1ndez argument\u00f3 que, al no indexar los salarios seg\u00fan la inflaci\u00f3n acumulada, el Gobierno est\u00e1 <strong>incumpliendo la ley<\/strong> y <strong>agravando la crisis econ\u00f3mica<\/strong> que enfrentan miles de familias dominicanas. \u00abLo que propongo es muy simple: que el Gobierno cumpla la ley. Que d\u00e9 un respiro a las familias dominicanas que hoy enfrentan el costo de la vida con cada vez menos ingresos reales\u00bb, declar\u00f3 el legislador durante su intervenci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fern\u00e1ndez record\u00f3 que el <strong>C\u00f3digo Tributario<\/strong> establece la <strong>obligaci\u00f3n de ajustar la escala salarial exenta<\/strong> seg\u00fan la inflaci\u00f3n, un mecanismo dise\u00f1ado para <strong>proteger el poder adquisitivo<\/strong> de los trabajadores. Sin embargo, el <strong>Proyecto de Presupuesto 2026<\/strong> <strong>ignora este mandato legal<\/strong>, perpetuando una pol\u00edtica fiscal que, seg\u00fan el senador, <strong>castiga a la clase media y trabajadora<\/strong>. \u00abNo es justo que el Gobierno siga ignorando la realidad de los trabajadores. La ley es clara, y debe cumplirse\u00bb, enfatiz\u00f3 Fern\u00e1ndez, quien llam\u00f3 al <strong>Poder Ejecutivo<\/strong> a <strong>corregir esta situaci\u00f3n<\/strong> y aplicar el ajuste correspondiente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El legislador inst\u00f3 al <strong>Gobierno<\/strong> a <strong>rectificar esta omisi\u00f3n<\/strong> y elevar el <strong>l\u00edmite exento de impuestos<\/strong> a <strong>RD$52,000 mensuales<\/strong>, un monto que, seg\u00fan Fern\u00e1ndez, <strong>reflejar\u00eda el verdadero costo de vida<\/strong> que enfrentan los dominicanos. \u00abNo estamos pidiendo un favor, estamos exigiendo que se cumpla la ley\u00bb, recalc\u00f3, al tiempo que hizo un llamado a sus colegas en el <strong>Congreso Nacional<\/strong> para que <strong>exijan el cumplimiento<\/strong> de la normativa tributaria. Fern\u00e1ndez tambi\u00e9n advirti\u00f3 que, de no corregirse esta situaci\u00f3n, el Gobierno estar\u00eda <strong>violando los principios de equidad y justicia fiscal<\/strong>, lo que podr\u00eda generar un <strong>mayor descontento social<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La <strong>demanda de Fern\u00e1ndez<\/strong> se produce en un contexto donde el <strong>aumento del costo de vida<\/strong> ha convertido en <strong>insostenible<\/strong> la situaci\u00f3n de miles de familias, que ven c\u00f3mo sus salarios <strong>no alcanzan<\/strong> para cubrir necesidades b\u00e1sicas. El senador subray\u00f3 que, al no ajustar la escala salarial exenta, el Gobierno est\u00e1 <strong>agravando la desigualdad<\/strong> y <strong>limitando las posibilidades de desarrollo<\/strong> de los sectores m\u00e1s vulnerables. \u00abNo podemos permitir que el Estado siga ignorando la realidad de los trabajadores.
