Aunque el <strong>Gobierno<\/strong> no ha confirmado oficialmente la <strong>supuesta eliminaci\u00f3n del subsidio<\/strong>, el presidente de Unatrafin, <strong>Arsenio Quevedo<\/strong>, acus\u00f3 a <strong>\u00abdesaprensivos\u00bb<\/strong> de estar influyendo en el presidente <strong>Luis Abinader<\/strong> para <strong>eliminar la compensaci\u00f3n<\/strong> que ha permitido mantener los precios del transporte accesibles. \u00abHay personas que han estado torpedeando ese acuerdo porque parece que lo desconocen o quieren desasosiego en la familia dominicana\u00bb, declar\u00f3 Quevedo, quien insisti\u00f3 en que el subsidio es <strong>vital<\/strong> para evitar un <strong>colapso en el sistema de transporte p\u00fablico<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Los transportistas argumentan que el <strong>subsidio al combustible<\/strong>, implementado a trav\u00e9s de programas como el <strong>Bonog\u00e1s<\/strong>, ha sido <strong>fundamental<\/strong> para mantener el <strong>pasaje en niveles asequibles<\/strong> para la poblaci\u00f3n, en un contexto de <strong>alta inflaci\u00f3n<\/strong> y <strong>aumento del costo de vida<\/strong>. Quevedo explic\u00f3 que, sin este apoyo, el <strong>costo real del pasaje<\/strong> deber\u00eda ser de <strong>RD$90<\/strong> en rutas urbanas y hasta <strong>RD$200<\/strong> en trayectos interurbanos, debido al <strong>alto precio de los combustibles<\/strong> y los <strong>costos operativos<\/strong> del sector. \u00abSi el pasaje cuesta 90 pesos y nosotros cobramos 35 o 40, eso quiere decir que hay una gran cantidad de dinero que debe ser subsidiado o respaldado por alguna entidad, y el Estado ha estado cumpliendo con esa parte dando el Bonog\u00e1s o una cantidad de combustible\u00bb, afirm\u00f3 el dirigente, quien advirti\u00f3 que la <strong>eliminaci\u00f3n del subsidio<\/strong> tendr\u00eda un <strong>impacto devastador<\/strong> en la econom\u00eda de miles de familias que dependen del transporte p\u00fablico para movilizarse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Durante la protesta, los choferes, portando <strong>banderas de Unatrafin<\/strong> y coreando consignas como <strong>\u00ab\u00a1Queremos subsidio!\u00bb<\/strong>, exigieron una <strong>respuesta clara<\/strong> del Gobierno sobre el futuro de este beneficio. Quevedo revel\u00f3 que, tras <strong>varias reuniones con funcionarios del Intrant<\/strong>, los transportistas solicitaron una <strong>comunicaci\u00f3n formal<\/strong> sobre el estatus del subsidio, pero hasta el momento no han recibido <strong>ninguna respuesta oficial<\/strong>. \u00abHemos venido en varias ocasiones, hemos entregado documentos, hemos pagado los impuestos correspondientes, pero no nos dan una respuesta concreta. Solo nos dicen que nuestras licencias no est\u00e1n en regla, pero aqu\u00ed est\u00e1n los papeles que demuestran lo contrario\u00bb, declar\u00f3 el l\u00edder gremial, mientras mostraba los <strong>documentos de licencias de operaci\u00f3n<\/strong> que, seg\u00fan \u00e9l, acreditan la legalidad de los sindicatos afiliados a Unatrafin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Uno de los manifestantes, <strong>Jos\u00e9 Manuel Genao<\/strong>, chofer de la ruta <strong>B\u00e1varo\u2013Punta Cana<\/strong>, denunci\u00f3 que el <strong>Intrant<\/strong> les ha informado que los sindicatos afiliados a Unatrafin <strong>no poseen licencias de operaci\u00f3n<\/strong>, una afirmaci\u00f3n que los transportistas <strong>desmintieron<\/strong> al exhibir los <strong>documentos legales<\/strong> que respaldan su actividad. \u00abAqu\u00ed est\u00e1n todas las licencias de operaciones de las compa\u00f1\u00edas que se convirtieron en empresas SRL, como establece la <strong>Ley 63-17<\/strong>. Luego vinimos al Intrant, pagamos los impuestos y obtuvimos las licencias de operaci\u00f3n\u00bb, afirm\u00f3 Genao, quien cuestion\u00f3 la <strong>falta de transparencia<\/strong> del organismo regulador. La protesta, que se desarroll\u00f3 con <strong>presencia militar<\/strong> para mantener el orden, culmin\u00f3 con la entrada de una <strong>comitiva de 20 choferes<\/strong> a una reuni\u00f3n con el director del Intrant, <strong>Milton Morrison<\/strong>, aunque los detalles de lo discutido no trascendieron de inmediato.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La <strong>amenaza de aumentar el pasaje<\/strong> a <strong>RD$90<\/strong> ha generado <strong>preocupaci\u00f3n<\/strong> en la poblaci\u00f3n, que ya enfrenta un <strong>contexto econ\u00f3mico dif\u00edcil<\/strong>, con <strong>altos precios en los combustibles<\/strong> y una <strong>inflaci\u00f3n que erosionan el poder adquisitivo<\/strong>.
