El choque, ocurrido el <strong>4 de octubre<\/strong>, dej\u00f3 a Montero con <strong>lesiones cr\u00edticas<\/strong> que, pese a los esfuerzos m\u00e9dicos, terminaron con su vida el <strong>19 de octubre<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Montero fue firmado por los <strong>New York Yankees en 2006<\/strong> como uno de los <strong>talentos m\u00e1s prometedores<\/strong> de su generaci\u00f3n, siendo comparado con <strong>Miguel Cabrera<\/strong> por su potencial ofensivo. Su debut en las Grandes Ligas en <strong>2011<\/strong> gener\u00f3 grandes expectativas, y aunque su carrera no cumpli\u00f3 con las proyecciones iniciales, dej\u00f3 un <strong>legado de poder y pasi\u00f3n<\/strong> en cada equipo donde jug\u00f3, incluyendo los <strong>Seattle Mariners<\/strong>.
