La jornada electoral ha generado gran expectativa, especialmente por la contienda para dirigir la segunda ciudad m\u00e1s poblada de Estados Unidos, donde el candidato dem\u00f3crata Zohran Mamdani ha captado un amplio respaldo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Christopher Marte, Shaun Abreu, Carmen de la Rosa, Pierina S\u00e1nchez y Oswald Feliz buscan continuar como miembros del Concejo Municipal. Marte representa al Distrito 1, que incluye Lower Manhattan, mientras que Abreu y De la Rosa representan los Distritos 7 y 10, respectivamente. Ambos asumieron sus cargos en enero de 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En El Bronx, Pierina S\u00e1nchez y Oswald Feliz buscan mantener sus puestos en los Distritos 14 y 15. S\u00e1nchez representa a Morris Heights, University Heights, Mount Eden y Highbridge, mientras que Feliz cubre Fordham, Bedford Park, Mount Hope, Bathgate, Belmont y University Heights. Feliz, quien asumi\u00f3 en abril de 2021, es el concejal dominicano con m\u00e1s tiempo en el cargo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Antonio Reynoso, primer presidente hispano de Brooklyn y el m\u00e1s joven en ser elegido, tambi\u00e9n busca la reelecci\u00f3n. Reynoso obtuvo la nominaci\u00f3n dem\u00f3crata tras ser el candidato con m\u00e1s votos en las primarias de junio.
