Rodr\u00edguez, quien sacrific\u00f3 su fortuna, su familia y la vida de su hijo en la lucha contra la dictadura de <strong>Rafael Le\u00f3nidas Trujillo<\/strong>, fue reconocido oficialmente como <strong>h\u00e9roe nacional<\/strong> mediante el <strong>Decreto 288-25<\/strong>, emitido en mayo de 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Durante la ceremonia, Abinader destac\u00f3 que, aunque la <strong>expedici\u00f3n de 1959<\/strong> no tuvo \u00e9xito militar, <strong>inspir\u00f3 el tiranicidio del 30 de mayo de 1961<\/strong>, un evento que marc\u00f3 el inicio del fin del r\u00e9gimen trujillista. \u00abJuancito Rodr\u00edguez fue un s\u00edmbolo de la lucha por la libertad y la democracia, y su legado debe ser recordado por todas las generaciones\u00bb, afirm\u00f3 el mandatario, quien tambi\u00e9n resalt\u00f3 que este homenaje <strong>reafirma el compromiso del Gobierno<\/strong> con los valores de <strong>justicia y soberan\u00eda<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El traslado de los restos de Rodr\u00edguez al Pante\u00f3n de la Patria se realiz\u00f3 en el marco de un <strong>funeral de Estado<\/strong>, que incluy\u00f3 honores militares con <strong>trece ca\u00f1onazos<\/strong> y guardias de honor. La ceremonia, celebrada en el <strong>Palacio Nacional<\/strong>, cont\u00f3 con la presencia de altas autoridades, como la primera dama <strong>Raquel Arbaje<\/strong>, la vicepresidenta <strong>Raquel Pe\u00f1a<\/strong>, y ministros de Defensa, Cultura, e Interior y Polic\u00eda, as\u00ed como representantes de las <strong>Fuerzas Armadas<\/strong> y la familia Rodr\u00edguez.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Abinader record\u00f3 que Rodr\u00edguez <strong>ofrend\u00f3 todo<\/strong> por una Patria libre, actuando con <strong>\u00abdignidad y valent\u00eda\u00bb<\/strong>. \u00abSu ejemplo y sacrificio permanecer\u00e1n vivos en la memoria nacional, para que las generaciones presentes y futuras sepan que su lucha no fue en vano\u00bb, declar\u00f3 el presidente, quien tambi\u00e9n asegur\u00f3 que este acto <strong>consolida el legado de Rodr\u00edguez<\/strong> como un s\u00edmbolo de la resistencia contra la opresi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La ceremonia concluy\u00f3 con la <strong>entonaci\u00f3n del himno nacional<\/strong> y el ingreso solemne de los restos de Rodr\u00edguez al Pante\u00f3n de la Patria, donde reposan los grandes h\u00e9roes de la naci\u00f3n.
