Este convenio busca fortalecer los lazos entre Rep\u00fablica Dominicana y Nueva York, donde reside una de las <strong>comunidades dominicanas m\u00e1s grandes y activas<\/strong> de Estados Unidos, con m\u00e1s de un mill\u00f3n de personas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Abinader destac\u00f3 que este acuerdo permitir\u00e1 desarrollar <strong>iniciativas innovadoras<\/strong> que beneficiar\u00e1n a ambos territorios. \u00abTrabajaremos en todas las \u00e1reas para tener una relaci\u00f3n m\u00e1s efectiva entre Rep\u00fablica Dominicana y Nueva York, un estado donde muchos de nuestros compatriotas han destacado como profesionales en diversos campos\u00bb, afirm\u00f3 el mandatario. El presidente tambi\u00e9n resalt\u00f3 la <strong>relaci\u00f3n especial<\/strong> que une a ambos pueblos, se\u00f1alando que \u00abNueva York es un lugar donde casi todos los dominicanos tienen un familiar o una experiencia significativa\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La gobernadora <strong>Hochul<\/strong> expres\u00f3 que las relaciones entre Nueva York y Rep\u00fablica Dominicana est\u00e1n en <strong>\u00absu mejor momento\u00bb<\/strong>, y anunci\u00f3 que el pa\u00eds caribe\u00f1o ser\u00e1 el <strong>destino principal<\/strong> del programa <strong>Global New York<\/strong>, que busca fomentar el comercio y la inversi\u00f3n. \u00abLa comunidad dominicana en Nueva York es una de las m\u00e1s vibrantes y emprendedoras, y este acuerdo nos permitir\u00e1 trabajar juntos para crear m\u00e1s oportunidades\u00bb, dijo Hochul. Tambi\u00e9n destac\u00f3 que Nueva York enviar\u00e1 una <strong>misi\u00f3n de expertos<\/strong> para capacitar en <strong>respuesta a emergencias clim\u00e1ticas<\/strong>, un \u00e1rea cr\u00edtica para ambos territorios.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El acuerdo tambi\u00e9n incluye la <strong>colaboraci\u00f3n en proyectos de desarrollo sostenible<\/strong>, con un enfoque en la <strong>innovaci\u00f3n agr\u00edcola y tecnol\u00f3gica<\/strong>. Hochul resalt\u00f3 que las universidades de ambos pa\u00edses trabajar\u00e1n juntas en iniciativas que promuevan la <strong>resiliencia ante desastres naturales<\/strong> y el crecimiento econ\u00f3mico. \u00abNo podemos evitar las tormentas, pero podemos prepararnos mejor para enfrentarlas y recuperarnos m\u00e1s r\u00e1pido\u00bb, afirm\u00f3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La ceremonia de firma cont\u00f3 con la presencia de figuras clave como el <strong>congresista Adriano Espaillat<\/strong>, el <strong>senador Luis Sep\u00falveda<\/strong> y el <strong>c\u00f3nsul dominicano en Nueva York, Jes\u00fas V\u00e1zquez Mart\u00ednez<\/strong>.
