La <strong>OPS<\/strong> ha hecho un <strong>llamado urgente<\/strong> a los pa\u00edses para que <strong>refuercen sus programas de vacunaci\u00f3n<\/strong> y eviten nuevos brotes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>2. \u00bfPor qu\u00e9 est\u00e1 aumentando la tosferina?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>El <strong>doctor Daniel Salas<\/strong>, de la OPS, explic\u00f3 que el <strong>descenso en las coberturas de vacunaci\u00f3n<\/strong> durante la pandemia de COVID-19 es una de las <strong>causas principales<\/strong>. En 2023, la cobertura de vacunaci\u00f3n con <strong>DTP1 y DTP3<\/strong> fue de <strong>87% y 81%<\/strong>, respectivamente, muy por debajo del <strong>95% recomendado<\/strong> para evitar brotes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>3. Grupos de riesgo: Ni\u00f1os y comunidades vulnerables<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Los <strong>ni\u00f1os menores de un a\u00f1o<\/strong> son los m\u00e1s afectados, representando entre <strong>30% y 40% de los casos<\/strong> en pa\u00edses como <strong>Argentina, Brasil y Colombia<\/strong>. Adem\u00e1s, se han registrado <strong>brotes en comunidades ind\u00edgenas y zonas rurales<\/strong>, donde las coberturas de vacunaci\u00f3n son <strong>m\u00e1s bajas<\/strong> y el acceso a servicios de salud es limitado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>4.
