Este proyecto, que representa el <strong>12% de la capacidad actual de generaci\u00f3n del pa\u00eds<\/strong>, es un <strong>paso hist\u00f3rico<\/strong> en la <strong>seguridad energ\u00e9tica<\/strong> de Rep\u00fablica Dominicana, al incorporar una <strong>unidad flotante de almacenamiento y regasificaci\u00f3n (FSRU)<\/strong> en operaci\u00f3n permanente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El cargamento, de <strong>50,000 metros c\u00fabicos de LNG<\/strong>, fue transferido al buque <strong>Energo Freeze<\/strong>, que opera como unidad flotante de almacenamiento y regasificaci\u00f3n desde <strong>septiembre de 2025<\/strong>. El gas natural, un combustible <strong>m\u00e1s limpio y eficiente<\/strong>, ser\u00e1 el principal insumo de la central, reduciendo el uso de combustibles m\u00e1s contaminantes y contribuyendo a la <strong>estabilidad del sistema el\u00e9ctrico nacional<\/strong>. La llegada del buque <strong>LNGShips Empress<\/strong> a la <strong>terminal mar\u00edtima Manzanillo Energy<\/strong> marca el inicio de las operaciones log\u00edsticas para el proyecto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La empresa destac\u00f3 que este avance es el resultado de un <strong>proceso riguroso<\/strong> que incluy\u00f3 revisiones operativas y de seguridad, cumpliendo con los est\u00e1ndares internacionales de los proveedores de LNG. <strong>Energ\u00eda 2000<\/strong> resalt\u00f3 que el proyecto <strong>Manzanillo Power Land<\/strong> no solo fortalecer\u00e1 la <strong>seguridad energ\u00e9tica del pa\u00eds<\/strong>, sino que tambi\u00e9n ser\u00e1 un <strong>eje de desarrollo<\/strong> para la zona fronteriza norte, generando <strong>empleo local, dinamizaci\u00f3n econ\u00f3mica y oportunidades de crecimiento<\/strong> para comunidades como <strong>Pepillo Salcedo<\/strong> y <strong>Montecristi<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Con este proyecto, <strong>Energ\u00eda 2000<\/strong> reafirma su compromiso con el <strong>desarrollo de infraestructura energ\u00e9tica moderna y confiable<\/strong>, alineada con las <strong>prioridades estrat\u00e9gicas del pa\u00eds<\/strong>.
