Nueva York, 25 de febrero de 2026. \u2014 La New York Dominican Officers Organization (NYDO),
en coordinaci\u00f3n con el New York Police Department (NYPD), celebr\u00f3 la gala Heritage Night
2026 (Noche de la Herencia Dominicana), una ceremonia institucional orientada a resaltar las
ra\u00edces culturales dominicanas, fortalecer la integraci\u00f3n comunitaria y reconocer trayectorias
destacadas en los \u00e1mbitos del servicio p\u00fablico, la comunicaci\u00f3n y la cooperaci\u00f3n institucional.
El acto, celebrado en el auditorio de 1 Police Plaza, cont\u00f3 con la presencia de autoridades,
representantes institucionales, l\u00edderes comunitarios y miembros de organismos de seguridad,
en una jornada caracterizada por el reconocimiento al m\u00e9rito, la vocaci\u00f3n de servicio y el
compromiso con la comunidad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Durante la ceremonia fueron distinguidas diversas personalidades dominicanas por sus aportes
al fortalecimiento comunitario y a la proyecci\u00f3n institucional en escenarios oficiales. Entre los
reconocidos se destac\u00f3 el comunicador Ram\u00f3n Tolentino, junto a otras figuras y
representantes que han mantenido una labor constante en favor del bienestar social y la
comunicaci\u00f3n responsable.
De manera especial, fue reconocido el coronel Donni Leiki Sonni Cepeda, miembro de la
Polic\u00eda Nacional Dominicana y oficial enlace en las ciudades de Nueva York y Providence,
Estados Unidos, por su destacada trayectoria en el \u00e1mbito de la seguridad, su vocaci\u00f3n de
servicio y su contribuci\u00f3n al fortalecimiento de la cooperaci\u00f3n institucional entre organismos de
seguridad y la comunidad dominicana en el exterior.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

y l\u00edderes institucionales, lo que reafirma el car\u00e1cter oficial y protocolar de la ceremonia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
