La reuni\u00f3n, liderada por el <strong>viceministro Carlos Peguero<\/strong>, cont\u00f3 con la participaci\u00f3n de especialistas del <strong>Banco Internacional de Reconstrucci\u00f3n y Fomento (BIRF)<\/strong> y la <strong>Corporaci\u00f3n Financiera Internacional (IFC)<\/strong>, marcando el inicio de una <strong>colaboraci\u00f3n clave<\/strong> para el futuro de la regi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Un plan con dos ejes estrat\u00e9gicos<\/strong> El <strong>plan integral<\/strong> presentado por Peguero se enfoca en:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Inversi\u00f3n mediante el Fideicomiso Pro-Pedernales<\/strong>: Un mecanismo financiero para <strong>impulsar la construcci\u00f3n de infraestructura tur\u00edstica<\/strong>, incluyendo hoteles, servicios b\u00e1sicos y \u00e1reas recreativas, con el fin de <strong>atraer inversi\u00f3n y generar empleo<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Pol\u00edticas p\u00fablicas para la sostenibilidad<\/strong>: Iniciativas que buscan <strong>mejorar la calidad de vida<\/strong> de las comunidades locales, mediante el <strong>acceso a servicios b\u00e1sicos<\/strong>, la <strong>capacitaci\u00f3n laboral<\/strong> y la <strong>creaci\u00f3n de oportunidades econ\u00f3micas<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Cabo Rojo: Un destino con potencial global<\/strong> En su <strong>primera etapa<\/strong>, el proyecto contempla la construcci\u00f3n de <strong>4,700 habitaciones hoteleras<\/strong> en Cabo Rojo, lo que <strong>dinamizar\u00e1 la econom\u00eda local<\/strong> y <strong>generar\u00e1 miles de empleos<\/strong>. Peguero destac\u00f3 que esta iniciativa busca <strong>posicionar a Pedernales como un destino tur\u00edstico de alto nivel<\/strong>, capaz de competir con los principales polos del Caribe y atraer inversi\u00f3n extranjera.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Apoyo t\u00e9cnico del Banco Mundial<\/strong> El Banco Mundial brindar\u00e1 <strong>asistencia t\u00e9cnica no reembolsable<\/strong> para identificar las <strong>inversiones necesarias<\/strong> que permitan consolidar a Cabo Rojo como un <strong>referente tur\u00edstico regional<\/strong>. Durante su visita, los especialistas del BIRF y la IFC realizar\u00e1n <strong>evaluaciones en terreno<\/strong> y mantendr\u00e1n reuniones con <strong>autoridades y actores clave<\/strong> para definir las acciones necesarias.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Un desarrollo tur\u00edstico con enfoque social<\/strong> El proyecto no solo se centra en el <strong>crecimiento econ\u00f3mico<\/strong>, sino tambi\u00e9n en la <strong>inclusi\u00f3n social<\/strong> y la <strong>sostenibilidad ambiental<\/strong>.
