La medida, calificada como un <strong>\u00abgesto humanitario y soberano\u00bb<\/strong>, fue confirmada en varias c\u00e1rceles de La Habana, donde los primeros reclusos recuperaron su libertad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Fundamentos y alcance del indulto<\/strong><br>Las autoridades cubanas indicaron que el indulto se otorg\u00f3 tras un an\u00e1lisis detallado de los perfiles de los sancionados, considerando su <strong>buena conducta<\/strong>, el cumplimiento de una parte importante de sus condenas y su estado de salud. Este es el <strong>quinto indulto<\/strong> otorgado desde 2011, y uno de los m\u00e1s amplios, beneficiando a m\u00e1s de <strong>11.000 personas<\/strong> en total.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Un antecedente en la historia cubana<\/strong><br>En 2015, Cuba realiz\u00f3 un indulto similar, liberando a m\u00e1s de <strong>3.500 presos<\/strong> con motivo de la visita del papa Francisco. La medida actual se enmarca en la tradici\u00f3n de conceder indultos durante la <strong>Semana Santa<\/strong>, reflejando el enfoque humanitario del sistema de justicia penal cubano.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Excarcelaciones recientes y su impacto<\/strong><br>Este indulto es el <strong>segundo<\/strong> del a\u00f1o y sigue a la liberaci\u00f3n de <strong>51 presos<\/strong> en marzo, quienes hab\u00edan cumplido una parte significativa de sus penas. En enero de 2025, se excarcel\u00f3 a <strong>553 personas<\/strong> tras un acuerdo con la administraci\u00f3n de EE.UU., mediado por el Vaticano.
