{"id":108365,"date":"2026-04-05T16:09:58","date_gmt":"2026-04-05T20:09:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/romanticany.com\/?p=108365"},"modified":"2026-04-05T16:10:01","modified_gmt":"2026-04-05T20:10:01","slug":"index-ny-habichuelas-con-dulce-durante-la-semana-santa-en-nueva-york","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/romanticany.com\/?p=108365","title":{"rendered":"INDEX-NY habichuelas con dulce durante la Semana Santa en Nueva York"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Por Aquiles Rojas Manuel Ruiz<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>NUEVA YORK. \u2013 El Instituto de Dominicanas y Dominicanos en el Exterior en Nueva York (INDEX-NY), bajo la direcci\u00f3n del arquitecto Jhon S\u00e1nchez, contin\u00faa fortaleciendo las tradiciones culturales dominicanas en la di\u00e1spora con la ya emblem\u00e1tica entrega de habichuelas con dulce a transe\u00fantes y pasajeros de autobuses durante la Semana Santa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Esta iniciativa, que cada a\u00f1o congrega a decenas de miembros de la comunidad, forma parte de un esfuerzo por preservar y compartir una de las costumbres m\u00e1s arraigadas de la Rep\u00fablica Dominicana, llevando un mensaje de identidad, solidaridad y alegr\u00eda a las calles de la ciudad de Nueva York.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHoy hemos seguido con una importante tradici\u00f3n que traemos desde nuestra amada Rep\u00fablica Dominicana. Gracias al gobierno que encabeza nuestro excelent\u00edsimo se\u00f1or presidente Luis Abinader, podemos acercarnos a nuestra comunidad y compartir la entrega de habichuelas con dulce\u201d, expres\u00f3 S\u00e1nchez.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El funcionario destac\u00f3 que esta pr\u00e1ctica no solo representa un gesto simb\u00f3lico, sino tambi\u00e9n un v\u00ednculo emocional con las ra\u00edces culturales dominicanas. \u201cEs parte de nuestra cultura, lo llevamos en el ADN. Cada vaso de habichuelas con dulce que entregamos es un pedacito de nuestra tierra, de nuestras tradiciones y de nuestra gente\u201d, afirm\u00f3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/elradardigital.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/WhatsApp-Image-2026-04-05-at-2.20.50-PM-2.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-109380\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>S\u00e1nchez tambi\u00e9n resalt\u00f3 el trabajo en equipo del personal de INDEX-NY, quienes han sido pieza clave en la organizaci\u00f3n y ejecuci\u00f3n de esta actividad. \u201cGracias al compromiso de nuestro equipo, hemos podido llevar esta tradici\u00f3n a diferentes puntos de Manhattan, el Bronx y los cinco condados de Nueva York, impactando de manera positiva a cientos de personas\u201d, agreg\u00f3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La receta, cuidadosamente elaborada, mantiene los sabores aut\u00e9nticos del pa\u00eds caribe\u00f1o. Incluye habichuelas rojas, leche de vaca, leche evaporada, zumo de coco, az\u00facar, canela, clavo dulce, batata, pasas y las tradicionales galletitas de leche, elementos que evocan el sabor casero caracter\u00edstico de esta \u00e9poca.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Como parte de la jornada de este a\u00f1o, INDEX-NY ha realizado entregas en distintos puntos estrat\u00e9gicos de la ciudad, incluyendo el s\u00e1bado 4 de abril en la intersecci\u00f3n de Fordham Road y University Avenue, en el Bronx, donde la acogida fue masiva y cargada de entusiasmo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cInvitamos a toda la comunidad a ser parte de esta hermosa tradici\u00f3n, a compartir en familia y a disfrutar de un momento especial lleno de sabor dominicano\u201d, concluy\u00f3 S\u00e1nchez.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En la actividad participaron miembros del equipo de INDEX-NY, entre ellos Shadie Tineo, Aris Guevara, Jos\u00e9 Miguel Sosa, Antonio Corpor\u00e1n, Maritza B\u00e1ez y Ram\u00f3n Nicasio, quienes contribuyeron al \u00e9xito de la jornada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El INDEX-NY sigue su compromiso de mantener vivas las costumbres dominicanas en el exterior, fortaleciendo la identidad cultural y promoviendo la uni\u00f3n
