Ubicado en <strong>City Hall Park<\/strong>, este espacio ofrece <strong>descanso, estaciones de carga para dispositivos y bicicletas el\u00e9ctricas, y asesor\u00eda legal<\/strong> para resolver conflictos laborales, como desactivaciones de cuentas o robos de salarios.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Un espacio para la dignidad laboral<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>El centro, que <strong>reutiliza un quiosco abandonado durante seis a\u00f1os<\/strong>, busca <strong>mejorar las condiciones laborales<\/strong> de los repartidores, en su mayor\u00eda <strong>inmigrantes latinoamericanos<\/strong> que han sido clave durante la pandemia pero enfrentan <strong>jornadas extenuantes y abusos por parte de las plataformas digitales<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u00abConstruir una ciudad que valore, proteja y empodere a los trabajadores es nuestro objetivo\u00bb<\/em>, declar\u00f3 <strong>Ligia Guallpa<\/strong>, directora del <strong>Workers Justice Project<\/strong>, organizaci\u00f3n que ha liderado la defensa de los repartidores.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Inversi\u00f3n p\u00fablica y apoyo pol\u00edtico<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>El proyecto fue posible gracias a una <strong>inversi\u00f3n de $1 mill\u00f3n de d\u00f3lares<\/strong> gestionada por el <strong>senador Chuck Schumer<\/strong>, quien destac\u00f3 la necesidad de <strong>dignificar el trabajo de los repartidores<\/strong>. <em>\u00abHemos visto lo dif\u00edcil que es este trabajo y lo mal que a veces son tratados\u00bb<\/em>, se\u00f1al\u00f3 el legislador.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El <strong>alcalde Zohran Mamdani<\/strong> aceler\u00f3 la apertura del centro, incluyendo el proyecto como una <strong>prioridad en sus primeros 100 d\u00edas de gobierno<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Un modelo replicable<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>El <strong>City Hall Park Deliverista Hub<\/strong> no solo proporciona <strong>servicios pr\u00e1cticos<\/strong>, sino que tambi\u00e9n <strong>simboliza un cambio en la visi\u00f3n del espacio p\u00fablico<\/strong>, transformando un lugar abandonado en un <strong>recurso vital<\/strong> para una comunidad laboral esencial.
