Bajo el liderazgo de <strong>Julio C\u00e9sar Landr\u00f3n<\/strong>, director ejecutivo del SNS, se han implementado <strong>medidas concretas<\/strong> para <strong>ampliar la capacidad de respuesta<\/strong>, logrando actualmente la <strong>disponibilidad de m\u00e1s de 200 camas<\/strong> en la <strong>Red P\u00fablica<\/strong>, distribuidas en <strong>unidades de intervenci\u00f3n en crisis<\/strong> reci\u00e9n inauguradas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Entre las acciones m\u00e1s relevantes, destacan la <strong>construcci\u00f3n de dos nuevos centros especializados<\/strong>: el <strong>Centro de Rehabilitaci\u00f3n Psicosocial Carlos M. Rojas Bad\u00eda<\/strong>, en <strong>Moca, Espaillat<\/strong>, y el <strong>Centro Psicosocial Ema\u00fas<\/strong>, en <strong>Hig\u00fcey, La Altagracia<\/strong>. Estos centros est\u00e1n dise\u00f1ados para <strong>ofrecer atenci\u00f3n integral<\/strong> a pacientes con trastornos mentales, con servicios de <strong>rehabilitaci\u00f3n, terapia y apoyo psicosocial<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El <strong>Hospital Jos\u00e9 Manuel Rodr\u00edguez Jim\u00e9nez<\/strong> (antes Santo Socorro) tambi\u00e9n ha sido objeto de <strong>mejoras significativas<\/strong>, con una <strong>unidad de salud mental para ni\u00f1os y adolescentes<\/strong>, <strong>\u00fanica en el pa\u00eds<\/strong> en su tipo para <strong>intervenci\u00f3n en crisis<\/strong>. Esta unidad proporciona servicios como <strong>consultas en psicolog\u00eda y psiquiatr\u00eda, evaluaciones psicom\u00e9tricas, intervenci\u00f3n en crisis, terapias electroconvulsivas y psicoterapias<\/strong>. Actualmente, el hospital est\u00e1 en un <strong>proceso de remozamiento integral<\/strong> que incluye la <strong>creaci\u00f3n de un \u00e1rea independiente de Emergencia exclusiva para salud mental<\/strong>, con espacios como <strong>\u00e1rea de registro, consultorio de triaje, \u00e1rea de observaci\u00f3n con dos camas, unidad de terapia electroconvulsiva, seis habitaciones de internamiento, \u00e1rea de descanso m\u00e9dico, estaci\u00f3n de enfermer\u00eda, sala de espera y farmacia<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Otra de las iniciativas m\u00e1s recientes es la <strong>inauguraci\u00f3n de una sala de atenci\u00f3n en crisis<\/strong> en el <strong>Hospital Pedi\u00e1trico Dr. Robert Reid Cabral<\/strong>, destinada a <strong>brindar asistencia especializada en salud mental a ni\u00f1os, ni\u00f1as y adolescentes<\/strong>. La ceremonia de inauguraci\u00f3n cont\u00f3 con la participaci\u00f3n de la <strong>primera dama Raquel Arbaje<\/strong>, el <strong>director del SNS, Julio C\u00e9sar Landr\u00f3n<\/strong>, y la <strong>directora del hospital, Mabel Jones<\/strong>. La <strong>inversi\u00f3n en esta sala<\/strong> asciende a <strong>2.2 millones de pesos<\/strong> e incluye <strong>tres habitaciones de internamiento climatizadas (con capacidad para seis camas), \u00e1rea de terapia electroconvulsiva, estaci\u00f3n de enfermer\u00eda, dos ba\u00f1os, sala de espera y un equipo especializado en psiquiatr\u00eda y psicolog\u00eda<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La <strong>Oficina de la Primera Dama<\/strong> se encarg\u00f3 de la <strong>climatizaci\u00f3n total del espacio<\/strong>, garantizando <strong>condiciones dignas<\/strong> para los pacientes. Durante el acto, <strong>Raquel Arbaje<\/strong> destac\u00f3 que esta iniciativa <strong>refuerza el compromiso del Gobierno con la salud mental<\/strong>, especialmente en la <strong>poblaci\u00f3n infantil<\/strong>: <em>\u00abEste es un paso que reafirma que la salud mental es tan importante como cualquier otra.
