El fen\u00f3meno arras\u00f3 con la vegetaci\u00f3n de las laderas rocosas del fiordo, pero, al ocurrir a las <strong>5:30 de la ma\u00f1ana<\/strong>, no hab\u00eda <strong>embarcaciones ni turistas<\/strong> en la zona, por lo que <strong>no se reportaron v\u00edctimas<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Los cient\u00edficos atribuyeron el deslizamiento al <strong>cambio clim\u00e1tico<\/strong>, ya que el <strong>glaciar que sosten\u00eda la monta\u00f1a se derriti\u00f3<\/strong> por el <strong>aumento de las temperaturas<\/strong>, dejando la roca sin soporte. Al no contar con <strong>im\u00e1genes o videos<\/strong> del evento, los investigadores <strong>reconstruyeron el tsunami<\/strong> a partir de <strong>fotograf\u00edas a\u00e9reas, datos satelitales, registros s\u00edsmicos, trabajo de campo y declaraciones de testigos<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El oleaje qued\u00f3 atrapado en el fiordo, lo que provoc\u00f3 un <strong>vaiv\u00e9n del agua durante varios d\u00edas<\/strong> y gener\u00f3 una <strong>se\u00f1al s\u00edsmica<\/strong>. Los tsunamis pueden ser causados por <strong>terremotos, erupciones volc\u00e1nicas submarinas o deslizamientos de tierra<\/strong>.
