{"id":110028,"date":"2026-05-11T22:19:40","date_gmt":"2026-05-12T02:19:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/romanticany.com\/?p=110028"},"modified":"2026-05-11T22:19:45","modified_gmt":"2026-05-12T02:19:45","slug":"consul-jesus-vazquez-martinez-participa-en-dominicans-in-albany-2026-y-recibe-reconocimiento","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/romanticany.com\/?p=110028","title":{"rendered":"C\u00f3nsul Jes\u00fas V\u00e1zquez Mart\u00ednez participa en \u201cDominicans in Albany 2026\u201d y recibe reconocimiento"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>ALBANY, NUEVA YORK. \u2013 El c\u00f3nsul general de la Rep\u00fablica Dominicana en Nueva York, Jes\u00fas V\u00e1zquez Mart\u00ednez, particip\u00f3 este lunes 11 de mayo en el evento \u201cDominicans in Albany 20260\u201d, realizado en el Capitolio Estatal de Nueva York, donde adem\u00e1s recibi\u00f3 un reconocimiento por su labor en favor de la comunidad dominicana residente en el exterior desde el Consulado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La actividad reuni\u00f3 a l\u00edderes pol\u00edticos, comunitarios, empresarios y representantes electos bajo el lema \u201cEmpowering Our Community Through Unity\u201d, con el prop\u00f3sito de fortalecer la integraci\u00f3n y representaci\u00f3n de los dominicanos en los espacios institucionales y pol\u00edticos de esta ciudad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Durante el encuentro, los organizadores destacaron el trabajo desarrollado por el c\u00f3nsul V\u00e1zquez Mart\u00ednez en beneficio de sus compatriotas, valorando las iniciativas de orientaci\u00f3n, asistencia y acercamiento comunitario impulsadas desde esa instituci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ecodelpueblo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/WhatsApp-Image-2026-05-11-at-6.53.50-PM-1-1024x755.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-23590\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>El reconocimiento le fue entregado por el asamble\u00edsta George \u00c1lvarez, organizador principal de la actividad. Y este evento cont\u00f3 con la asistencia de los asamble\u00edstas Yudelka Tapia, Karines Reyes y Manny de los Santos. Asimismo, participaron los diputados de ultramar Cirilo Moronta y Kenia Bid\u00f3, de Santo Domingo: Ignacio Aracena, Robinson D\u00edaz y C\u00e9sar Beltr\u00e9 M\u00e9ndez, entre otras personalidades de la vida pol\u00edtica y social en Estados Unidos y Dominicana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Esta importante actividad estuvo galardonada por el Speaker Carl E. Heastie, miembro del Partido Dem\u00f3crata y representante del distrito 83 en la Asamblea Estatal de Nueva York, quien se convirti\u00f3 en el primer afroamericano en ocupar la presidencia de ese \u00f3rgano legislativo en la historia del estado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De igual manera, Andrea Stewart-Cousins, considerada una de las figuras pol\u00edticas m\u00e1s influyentes del estado en representaci\u00f3n de la mayor\u00eda dem\u00f3crata c\u00f3mo presidenta del senado estatal .<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Por su parte, al recibir el reconocimiento, Jes\u00fas V\u00e1zquez reafirm\u00f3 su compromiso de continuar trabajando por el bienestar de sus compatriotas en el exterior, y se comprometi\u00f3 a seguir promoviendo servicios consulares m\u00e1s eficientes, cercanos y accesibles para la di\u00e1spora.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El evento se ha estado celebrando por m\u00e1s de quince a\u00f1os en The Well, consolid\u00e1ndose como uno de los principales espacios de representaci\u00f3n,
