En su lugar, el joven mandatario de <strong>34 a\u00f1os<\/strong> present\u00f3 este <strong>martes<\/strong> un <strong>presupuesto para el a\u00f1o fiscal 2027<\/strong> que, seg\u00fan sus cr\u00edticos, es una <strong>retirada<\/strong>, pero que sus partidarios defienden como un <strong>compromiso realista<\/strong> ante la <strong>opposici\u00f3n pol\u00edtica<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mamdani, quien lleg\u00f3 al poder en <strong>enero de 2026<\/strong> con una <strong>plataforma socialdem\u00f3crata<\/strong>, hab\u00eda propuesto en <strong>febrero<\/strong> un <strong>aumento del 9.5% en el impuesto a la propiedad<\/strong> para todos los due\u00f1os, lo que habr\u00eda <strong>recaudado 3,700 millones de d\u00f3lares<\/strong> y ayudado a cubrir el <strong>d\u00e9ficit de 12,000 millones<\/strong> que enfrenta la ciudad. Sin embargo, la <strong>resistencia del gobierno estatal<\/strong> y de <strong>miembros del Concejo Municipal<\/strong> lo oblig\u00f3 a <strong>cambiar de estrategia<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Presupuesto sin alza de impuestos, pero con soluciones alternativas<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Al presentar su <strong>primer presupuesto<\/strong>, Mamdani destac\u00f3 que <strong>no incluye aumentos al impuesto a la propiedad<\/strong> y <strong>evita recortes en servicios esenciales<\/strong>. <em>\u00abEste presupuesto no aumenta los impuestos a la propiedad y se niega a recortar servicios.
