A diferencia de otros tr\u00e1mites, este <strong>no estar\u00e1 restringido por el mes de cumplea\u00f1os<\/strong> del solicitante, lo que permite una mayor flexibilidad para la di\u00e1spora.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Los interesados <strong>deber\u00e1n agendar una cita previa<\/strong> a trav\u00e9s del <strong>portal oficial de la JCE<\/strong>, donde se les asignar\u00e1 un horario y lugar para realizar el tr\u00e1mite. La renovaci\u00f3n ser\u00e1 <strong>totalmente gratuita<\/strong> y forma parte del <strong>proceso de modernizaci\u00f3n<\/strong> del documento de identidad, que ahora incluye <strong>tecnolog\u00edas avanzadas<\/strong> para mayor seguridad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Un beneficio adicional de este proceso es que los dominicanos que renueven su c\u00e9dula en el exterior <strong>podr\u00e1n empadronarse<\/strong> para <strong>participar en las elecciones de 2028<\/strong>.
