El fuego, que comenz\u00f3 <strong>poco antes de la 1:30 p.m.<\/strong>, se propag\u00f3 r\u00e1pidamente y fue visible a <strong>varios kil\u00f3metros de distancia<\/strong>, seg\u00fan <strong>NBC NY<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Anthony Williams<\/strong>, due\u00f1o de un negocio cercano, fue uno de los primeros en percatarse del humo y alertar a las autoridades. Seg\u00fan su relato, el incendio <strong>se intensific\u00f3 en minutos<\/strong>, consumiendo la parte superior de la iglesia. <strong>Videos grabados por testigos<\/strong> muestran el momento en que el <strong>campanario se desplom\u00f3<\/strong>, aproximadamente <strong>15 minutos despu\u00e9s del inicio del siniestro<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El <strong>FDNY<\/strong> moviliz\u00f3 <strong>63 unidades y cerca de 200 bomberos y personal m\u00e9dico<\/strong> para controlar el fuego, que escal\u00f3 de <strong>una a tres alarmas<\/strong> en solo <strong>20 minutos<\/strong>. Aunque lograron <strong>contener las llamas<\/strong>, los equipos continuaron trabajando durante horas para <strong>extinguir los focos activos<\/strong> en el interior del templo.
