El <strong>barril de petr\u00f3leo Brent<\/strong>, que se cotiza en la bolsa de Londres y es la referencia principal a nivel mundial, <strong>abri\u00f3 este martes en US$84.22<\/strong>, con un <strong>aumento del 1.10%<\/strong> respecto al d\u00eda anterior. Sin embargo, a medida que avanz\u00f3 la jornada, el precio <strong>se dispar\u00f3 hasta los US$85.54<\/strong>, reflejando la <strong>volatilidad<\/strong> que domina el mercado. Por su parte, el <strong>petr\u00f3leo West Texas Intermediate (WTI)<\/strong>, que se negocia en Nueva York, <strong>inici\u00f3 la sesi\u00f3n en US$78.56<\/strong>, con un alza del <strong>0.54%<\/strong>, pero <strong>alcanz\u00f3 los US$79.97<\/strong> para los contratos futuros de agosto, acerc\u00e1ndose a los <strong>US$80 por barril<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Seg\u00fan la <strong>plataforma Bloomberg<\/strong>, a media tarde el <strong>crudo Brent<\/strong> se cotizaba en <strong>US$85.34<\/strong>, consolid\u00e1ndose como el <strong>petr\u00f3leo de referencia global<\/strong>, especialmente por su uso en el <strong>transporte mar\u00edtimo inmediato<\/strong> para la exportaci\u00f3n y suministro mundial. El <strong>WTI<\/strong>, que se almacena en Oklahoma, sigue siendo un indicador clave para el mercado estadounidense. La <strong>escalada de los precios<\/strong> se debe a los <strong>conflictos en Medio Oriente<\/strong>, que se han <strong>intensificado desde este lunes<\/strong>. El gobierno de <strong>Estados Unidos<\/strong>, bajo el liderazgo de <strong>Donald Trump<\/strong>, ha <strong>reanudado el bloqueo a los buques iran\u00edes<\/strong> que transitan por el Estrecho de Ormuz, una medida que <strong>limita el flujo de petr\u00f3leo<\/strong> desde los puertos iran\u00edes y <strong>aumenta el riesgo de interrupciones en el suministro global<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Esta situaci\u00f3n ha <strong>afectado no solo al crudo<\/strong>, sino tambi\u00e9n a sus <strong>derivados<\/strong>, como la <strong>gasolina, el gas natural y el gas\u00f3leo para calefacci\u00f3n<\/strong>, cuyos precios tambi\u00e9n han <strong>aumentado<\/strong>. Aunque hace <strong>cuatro semanas<\/strong> los precios del petr\u00f3leo registraban <strong>reducciones<\/strong>, el actual escenario es <strong>completamente opuesto<\/strong>, con el <strong>Brent alcanzando su nivel m\u00e1s alto desde la tregua<\/strong> en la regi\u00f3n. La <strong>reapertura parcial del Estrecho de Ormuz<\/strong> en junio hab\u00eda permitido a los pa\u00edses petroleros <strong>aumentar su producci\u00f3n<\/strong>, pero la <strong>nueva coyuntura geopol\u00edtica<\/strong> ha <strong>revertido esta tendencia<\/strong>, generando una <strong>nueva incertidumbre<\/strong> en el mercado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Los <strong>desacuerdos internacionales<\/strong>, como el <strong>retiro de la tasa del 20%<\/strong> que Estados Unidos pretend\u00eda cobrar a los barcos que cruzan por el Estrecho de Ormuz desde puertos iran\u00edes, han <strong>complicado el panorama<\/strong> para pa\u00edses como <strong>Rep\u00fablica Dominicana<\/strong>, que depende en gran medida de las <strong>importaciones de petr\u00f3leo crudo y derivados<\/strong>, especialmente de <strong>combustibles blancos<\/strong> como gasolinas y gas\u00f3leo. Este aumento en los precios del petr\u00f3leo <strong>anticipa nuevos reajustes en los precios de los combustibles<\/strong> a nivel local, lo que podr\u00eda <strong>impactar la econom\u00eda nacional<\/strong> y el <strong>costo de vida de los ciudadanos<\/strong>.
