Aunque el <strong>cuerpo t\u00e9cnico del equipo<\/strong>, liderado por <strong>Luis Polonia Jr. y F\u00e9lix Ferm\u00edn Jr.<\/strong>, present\u00f3 una <strong>solicitud oficial<\/strong> para sumar al campocorto al roster, el <strong>Comit\u00e9 Ol\u00edmpico Dominicano (COD)<\/strong> <strong>deneg\u00f3 la petici\u00f3n<\/strong> al constatar que Franco <strong>no estaba incluido en la lista larga del conjunto<\/strong>, un paso <strong>esencial<\/strong> en el proceso de inscripci\u00f3n para el evento.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Garibaldy Bautista<\/strong>, presidente del COD, explic\u00f3 que, tras recibir la solicitud de la federaci\u00f3n, <strong>revisaron si Franco cumpl\u00eda con el requisito de estar en la lista larga<\/strong>, que es el <strong>procedimiento est\u00e1ndar<\/strong> para la participaci\u00f3n en los juegos. <em>\u00abAl revisar, confirmamos que nunca fue incluido, por lo que se hace muy dif\u00edcil darle la oportunidad de representar al pa\u00eds en este evento\u00bb<\/em>, aclar\u00f3 Bautista. Este <strong>detalle administrativo<\/strong> ha sido el <strong>punto clave<\/strong> que impidi\u00f3 la participaci\u00f3n de Franco.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El caso de Franco <strong>tiene m\u00faltiples aristas<\/strong>. Adem\u00e1s del <strong>aspecto t\u00e9cnico<\/strong>, su <strong>situaci\u00f3n legal<\/strong> a\u00f1ade complejidad al debate. El jugador fue <strong>declarado culpable por segunda vez<\/strong> de <strong>abuso sexual y psicol\u00f3gico contra una menor<\/strong>, aunque, seg\u00fan el veredicto emitido el pasado lunes, <strong>no cumplir\u00e1 condena en prisi\u00f3n<\/strong>. Esto ha <strong>generado controversia<\/strong> sobre si es apropiado que un atleta con estos antecedentes <strong>represente al pa\u00eds en un evento de tal magnitud<\/strong>, donde se esperan <strong>valores de integridad y respeto<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La <strong>Federaci\u00f3n Dominicana de B\u00e9isbol (Fedobe)<\/strong> confirm\u00f3 que la <strong>idea de incluir a Franco surgi\u00f3 del cuerpo t\u00e9cnico del equipo<\/strong>. <strong>Juan N\u00fa\u00f1ez<\/strong>, presidente de la Fedobe, <strong>respald\u00f3 la propuesta<\/strong> y dej\u00f3 la <strong>decisi\u00f3n final en manos del COD<\/strong>. <em>\u00abYa hicimos lo que nos correspond\u00eda: notificar nuestra intenci\u00f3n al COD y mantener al jugador en forma. Ahora est\u00e1 en cancha del Comit\u00e9 permitirle jugar\u00bb<\/em>, declar\u00f3 N\u00fa\u00f1ez.
