El proyecto fue presentado este <strong>lunes 21 de julio de 2026<\/strong> por la <strong>consejera de Salud de La Rioja, Mar\u00eda Mart\u00edn<\/strong>, y la <strong>investigadora principal de Neurobiolog\u00eda Molecular del CIBIR, Lidia \u00c1lvarez-Erviti<\/strong>, y ha sido <strong>reconocido como un avance pionero a nivel mundial<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>El proyecto \u00abAPOE-Switch\u00bb<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El estudio, titulado <strong>\u00abAPOE-Switch: transformaci\u00f3n del alelo APOE4 a APOE3 como terapia modificadora de la enfermedad de Alzheimer\u00bb<\/strong>, ha sido <strong>premiado con el segundo lugar<\/strong> en la <strong>cuarta edici\u00f3n del Premio de Investigaci\u00f3n Cient\u00edfica en Salud de Fundaci\u00f3n hna<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El <strong>alelo APOE4<\/strong> es uno de los <strong>principales factores de riesgo<\/strong> para el <strong>alzh\u00e9imer no hereditario<\/strong>. La terapia propuesta busca <strong>modificarlo mediante edici\u00f3n g\u00e9nica<\/strong>, utilizando <strong>ves\u00edculas extracelulares<\/strong> para <strong>administrar el tratamiento de manera dirigida al cerebro<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>\u00bfEn qu\u00e9 consiste la terapia?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La <strong>investigadora Lidia \u00c1lvarez-Erviti<\/strong> explic\u00f3 que la <strong>prote\u00edna APOE4<\/strong> puede presentar <strong>diferentes formas<\/strong>, y que si sufre una <strong>mutaci\u00f3n<\/strong>, el paciente puede <strong>desarrollar alzh\u00e9imer<\/strong>.
