beb\u00e9s<\/strong> recibe <strong>lactancia materna exclusiva<\/strong> durante sus <strong>primeros seis meses<\/strong>, una cifra <strong>muy inferior<\/strong> al <strong>50%<\/strong> recomendado por la <strong>OMS<\/strong> y al <strong>promedio de Am\u00e9rica Latina y el Caribe (43%)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\ud83d\udcc9 Avances lentos: Una d\u00e9cada de mejoras insuficientes<\/strong><br>Los datos de la <strong>Encuesta Nacional de Hogares de Prop\u00f3sitos M\u00faltiples (ENHOGAR-MICS 2025)<\/strong> muestran un <strong>avance gradual<\/strong> en la lactancia materna exclusiva:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>2014<\/strong>: 4.7%<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>2019<\/strong>: 16%<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>2025<\/strong>: 19.2%<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Aunque el pa\u00eds ha <strong>duplicado su cobertura<\/strong> en una d\u00e9cada, <strong>sigue lejos<\/strong> de las metas internacionales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u23f3 La primera hora de vida: Un momento clave<\/strong><br>La encuesta tambi\u00e9n revel\u00f3 que <strong>solo el 22.4%<\/strong> de los reci\u00e9n nacidos <strong>inicia la lactancia materna en la primera hora de vida<\/strong>, una pr\u00e1ctica <strong>esencial<\/strong> para:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Establecer un v\u00ednculo emocional<\/strong> entre madre e hijo.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Proteger al beb\u00e9<\/strong> de infecciones y enfermedades.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Reducir el riesgo de mortalidad neonatal<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\ud83d\udc68\u200d\ud83d\udc69\u200d\ud83d\udc67\u200d\ud83d\udc66 Desigualdades en la nutrici\u00f3n infantil<\/strong><br>UNICEF identific\u00f3 <strong>desigualdades preocupantes<\/strong> en la alimentaci\u00f3n de los ni\u00f1os:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>63.7%<\/strong> de los ni\u00f1os de <strong>6 a 23 meses<\/strong> con madres de <strong>educaci\u00f3n primaria<\/strong> reciben una <strong>dieta diversa y m\u00ednima<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Este porcentaje <strong>aumenta al 70.8%<\/strong> cuando las madres tienen <strong>educaci\u00f3n universitaria o superior<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sin embargo, <strong>parad\u00f3jicamente<\/strong>, la <strong>lactancia materna exclusiva disminuye<\/strong> en madres con <strong>mayor nivel educativo y econ\u00f3mico<\/strong>, debido a una <strong>mayor exposici\u00f3n a f\u00f3rmulas infantiles<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\ud83d\udcac Carlos Carrera (UNICEF): \u00abLa lactancia materna es un derecho\u00bb<\/strong><br>El representante de <strong>UNICEF en Rep\u00fablica Dominicana<\/strong> destac\u00f3 que la baja coherencia en lactancia exclusiva <strong>requiere una acci\u00f3n colectiva<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u00abAmamantar no debe ser visto como una decisi\u00f3n individual de la madre, sino como una pr\u00e1ctica que necesita <strong>apoyo de toda la sociedad<\/strong>.\u00bb<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Carrera insisti\u00f3 en que la lactancia materna <strong>salva vidas<\/strong>, <strong>fortalece el desarrollo infantil<\/strong> y <strong>protege la salud de las madres<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\ud83c\udf1f Beneficios de la leche materna<\/strong><br>La <strong>leche materna<\/strong> es <strong>insustituible<\/strong> porque:<br>\u2714 <strong>Proporciona todos los nutrientes<\/strong> que el beb\u00e9 necesita en sus primeros meses.<br>\u2714 <strong>Refuerza el sistema inmunol\u00f3gico<\/strong> del reci\u00e9n nacido.<br>\u2714 <strong>Favorece el desarrollo cognitivo<\/strong>.<br>\u2714 <strong>Reduce el riesgo de enfermedades cr\u00f3nicas<\/strong> en madres e hijos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\ud83c\udfe5 UNICEF y OMS piden m\u00e1s apoyo<\/strong><br>Ambas organizaciones <strong>recomendaron<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Fortalecer los sistemas de salud<\/strong> para brindar <strong>apoyo a las madres<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Ampliar programas comunitarios<\/strong> de orientaci\u00f3n sobre lactancia.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Implementar pol\u00edticas laborales<\/strong> que faciliten la lactancia materna.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Promover una cultura de apoyo<\/strong> a la lactancia como <strong>derecho fundamental de la ni\u00f1ez<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">UNICEF tambi\u00e9n destac\u00f3 su campa\u00f1a <strong>\u00abLos Datos Cuentan\u00bb<\/strong>, que busca <strong>usar
