Sin embargo, su producci\u00f3n tiene un <strong>costo ambiental elevado<\/strong>, debido a su <strong>alto consumo de agua, emisiones de gases de efecto invernadero y uso intensivo de tierras<\/strong>. Ante este escenario, los cient\u00edficos buscan <strong>alternativas m\u00e1s sostenibles<\/strong> que permitan <strong>replicar las propiedades de la carne<\/strong> sin los <strong>impactos negativos<\/strong> de la ganader\u00eda tradicional.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>La t\u00e9cnica de modificaci\u00f3n gen\u00e9tica<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Para lograr este avance, los investigadores utilizaron la <strong>t\u00e9cnica de transformaci\u00f3n biol\u00edstica<\/strong>, tambi\u00e9n conocida como <strong>\u00abpistola gen\u00e9tica\u00bb<\/strong>. Este m\u00e9todo consiste en <strong>introducir genes espec\u00edficos en las c\u00e9lulas de las plantas<\/strong> mediante el uso de <strong>part\u00edculas de metal recubiertas con ADN<\/strong>, que son disparadas a alta velocidad hacia los <strong>cloroplastos<\/strong> de las plantas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En este estudio, los cient\u00edficos introdujeron <strong>genes de mioglobina porcina<\/strong> en los cloroplastos de <strong>pl\u00e1ntulas de lechuga y tabaco<\/strong>. Los resultados fueron <strong>prometedores<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>El <strong>ADN se incorpor\u00f3 correctamente<\/strong> en el genoma de las plantas.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Las <strong>plantas modificadas crecieron con normalidad<\/strong>, produjeron semillas y <strong>transmitieron el transg\u00e9n a su descendencia<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No se observaron <strong>alteraciones significativas<\/strong> en su crecimiento, fertilidad o capacidad fotosint\u00e9tica.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Producci\u00f3n de mioglobina: Resultados y beneficios ambientales<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Uno de los <strong>hallazgos m\u00e1s destacados<\/strong> fue que las plantas modificadas <strong>produjeron aproximadamente 800 miligramos de mioglobina por kilogramo de peso seco<\/strong>, tanto en lechuga como en tabaco.
