La investigaci\u00f3n, que sigui\u00f3 a <strong>994 pacientes<\/strong> entre <strong>enero de 2023 y junio de 2026<\/strong>, tambi\u00e9n mostr\u00f3 una <strong>mejora en la continuidad del tratamiento<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Resultados que demuestran eficacia<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En el grupo con <strong>atenci\u00f3n tradicional<\/strong>, la mortalidad fue del <strong>2.7%<\/strong>, mientras que en el grupo con <strong>atenci\u00f3n diferenciada<\/strong>, esta cifra descendi\u00f3 al <strong>0.7%<\/strong>, una diferencia <strong>estad\u00edsticamente significativa<\/strong>. Adem\u00e1s, el <strong>abandono del seguimiento cl\u00ednico<\/strong> se redujo del <strong>38% al 30%<\/strong>, lo que indica una <strong>mayor adherencia al tratamiento<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Estrategias que marcan la diferencia<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El <strong>doctor Fernando D\u00edaz<\/strong>, investigador principal, explic\u00f3 que el nuevo enfoque combin\u00f3:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Mayor control de la adherencia<\/strong>\u00a0al tratamiento antirretroviral.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Acompa\u00f1amiento psicol\u00f3gico<\/strong>\u00a0para los pacientes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Detecci\u00f3n activa de tuberculosis<\/strong>, una de las principales complicaciones en personas con VIH.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El equipo de COIN descubri\u00f3 que <strong>una de cada cuatro muertes en pacientes con VIH<\/strong> estaba relacionada con <strong>tuberculosis<\/strong>. Para abordar esto, implementaron herramientas como:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Pruebas TB-LAM<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Radiograf\u00edas de t\u00f3rax<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Tecnolog\u00eda GeneXpert MTB\/RIF<\/strong>, que permite identificar la tuberculosis y detectar resistencias a medicamentos.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Un modelo que optimiza lo existente<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La intervenci\u00f3n no consisti\u00f3 en crear un <strong>nuevo protocolo<\/strong>, sino en <strong>facilitar el acceso oportuno<\/strong> a servicios ya disponibles. De los <strong>994 pacientes analizados<\/strong>, <strong>429 fueron incorporados al esquema diferenciado<\/strong> a partir de <strong>2024<\/strong>, mientras que <strong>565 continuaron con la atenci\u00f3n convencional<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Presentaci\u00f3n de resultados y futuro<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Los resultados fueron presentados en <strong>Santo Domingo<\/strong> ante representantes del <strong>Ministerio de Salud P\u00fablica<\/strong>, el <strong>Servicio Nacional de Salud (SNS)<\/strong>, el <strong>Consejo Nacional para el VIH y el Sida (Conavihsida)<\/strong>, y organizaciones de la sociedad civil.
