Este gravamen, aplicado desde el <strong>24 de julio de 2026<\/strong>, amenaza a un <strong>comercio bilateral valorado en US$14,645.23 millones<\/strong> solo en 2025, donde <strong>el 48.6 % de las exportaciones dominicanas<\/strong> tuvo como destino el mercado estadounidense.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Una respuesta diplom\u00e1tica contundente<\/strong> Ante esta situaci\u00f3n, el <strong>canciller V\u00edctor \u00abIto\u00bb Bison\u00f3<\/strong> ha asumido un papel protag\u00f3nico en las negociaciones con <strong>Jeffrey Goettman<\/strong>, representante comercial adjunto de EE. UU. El objetivo es claro: <strong>eliminar el arancel y volver al 0 %<\/strong> que reg\u00eda bajo el <strong>Tratado de Libre Comercio<\/strong>. El <strong>Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores (Mirex)<\/strong> ha confirmado que las conversaciones se desarrollan en el marco de una <strong>agenda bilateral<\/strong> para <strong>fortalecer los lazos econ\u00f3micos<\/strong> y <strong>ampliar las oportunidades comerciales<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>El impacto en sectores estrat\u00e9gicos<\/strong> El arancel afecta especialmente a productos como <strong>az\u00facar, mangos y bienes de zonas francas<\/strong>, sectores que dependen en gran medida del mercado estadounidense. Por ejemplo, <strong>el 92.5 % del az\u00facar dominicana<\/strong> se exporta a EE. UU., lo que representa un <strong>99.7 % del total<\/strong> de las ventas externas de este producto. La <strong>inversi\u00f3n extranjera directa<\/strong> desde EE. UU., que alcanz\u00f3 los <strong>US$1,042.8 millones en 2025<\/strong>, tambi\u00e9n podr\u00eda verse afectada si no se resuelve el conflicto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Reuniones con actores clave en Washington<\/strong> Bison\u00f3 ha mantenido un <strong>di\u00e1logo constante<\/strong> con figuras influyentes en la administraci\u00f3n estadounidense, como <strong>Patrick Nelson<\/strong> (Consejo de Seguridad Nacional), <strong>Juan Pablo Segura<\/strong> (subsecretario para el Hemisferio Occidental) y la <strong>asesora Viviana Bovo<\/strong>.
