La directora general, <strong>Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala<\/strong>, advirti\u00f3 que el sistema comercial multilateral enfrenta <strong>\u00abperturbaciones graves y sostenidas\u00bb<\/strong>, las cuales podr\u00edan <strong>reducir el PIB global en un 5%<\/strong> y las <strong>exportaciones en un 18.6% para 2050<\/strong>. Este escenario amenaza con <strong>afectar el bienestar econ\u00f3mico de millones de personas<\/strong> en todo el mundo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El informe destaca que el <strong>abandono de las pol\u00edticas comerciales multilaterales<\/strong> en favor de enfoques unilaterales tendr\u00eda <strong>consecuencias catastr\u00f3ficas<\/strong>. Esto se produce en un contexto de <strong>crecientes tensiones geopol\u00edticas<\/strong>, como el conflicto en <strong>Oriente Medio<\/strong>, donde <strong>Estados Unidos e Israel<\/strong> lideran acciones militares contra Ir\u00e1n. Okonjo-Iweala resalt\u00f3 que, desde el inicio de esta guerra, las <strong>normas comerciales<\/strong> han sido <strong>cuestionadas a niveles nunca vistos<\/strong>, poniendo en riesgo la estabilidad del comercio global.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La <strong>administraci\u00f3n de Donald Trump<\/strong> ha sido uno de los principales actores en esta crisis, al impulsar una <strong>pol\u00edtica arancelaria agresiva<\/strong> desde su regreso a la presidencia en enero de 2025. Esta estrategia, junto con la <strong>mayor intervenci\u00f3n estatal en los mercados<\/strong>, ha <strong>debilitado la cooperaci\u00f3n internacional<\/strong> y generado <strong>incertidumbre<\/strong> en el comercio mundial. La OMC tambi\u00e9n se\u00f1ala que la <strong>guerra comercial<\/strong> y las <strong>sanciones econ\u00f3micas<\/strong> est\u00e1n <strong>afectando las cadenas de suministro globales<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Para pa\u00edses como <strong>Rep\u00fablica Dominicana<\/strong>, donde <strong>el 50% de las exportaciones<\/strong> dependen de <strong>Estados Unidos<\/strong>, esta situaci\u00f3n es especialmente preocupante. Cualquier cambio en las pol\u00edticas comerciales o el aumento de aranceles podr\u00eda tener un <strong>impacto directo<\/strong> en su econom\u00eda, que ya enfrenta desaf\u00edos por la <strong>desaceleraci\u00f3n del comercio internacional<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El informe de la OMC hace un llamado urgente a los gobiernos para que <strong>eviten el proteccionismo<\/strong> y <strong>fortalezcan la cooperaci\u00f3n internacional<\/strong>.
