Este plato, que no sigue una receta \u00fanica, es un reflejo de la diversidad cultural y gastron\u00f3mica de Colombia. Dependiendo de la regi\u00f3n, puede prepararse con <strong>pollo, gallina, carne de res o cerdo<\/strong>, y se complementa con ingredientes como <strong>papa, ma\u00edz, pl\u00e1tano verde o maduro, yuca, \u00f1ame y zanahoria<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lo que define al sancocho es su <strong>caldo espeso y nutritivo<\/strong>, donde carnes y vegetales se cocinan juntos, creando un plato contundente y lleno de sabor. Es com\u00fan encontrarlo en <strong>reuniones familiares, fiestas y almuerzos dominicales<\/strong>, servido en porciones generosas y acompa\u00f1ado de <strong>arroz blanco y aguacate<\/strong>. Para beber, se suele optar por <strong>agua de panela o limonada<\/strong>, que contrastan con su consistencia caliente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Una de las versiones m\u00e1s conocidas es el <strong>sancocho de gallina del Valle del Cauca<\/strong>, que se sirve tradicionalmente con arroz, aguacate y aj\u00ed. Sin embargo, cada regi\u00f3n tiene su propia interpretaci\u00f3n, adaptando los ingredientes seg\u00fan sus costumbres. El nombre \u00absancocho\u00bb proviene del verbo <em>sancochar<\/em>, que significa precocer, y su preparaci\u00f3n, aunque sencilla, logra una combinaci\u00f3n de sabores gracias a la absorci\u00f3n de los ingredientes en el caldo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El ranking de <strong>TasteAtlas<\/strong> ubica al sancocho junto a sopas de renombre mundial, como el <strong>vori-vori de Paraguay<\/strong> (1er puesto), el <strong>beyran \u00e7orbas\u0131 de Turqu\u00eda<\/strong> (2do) o el <strong>Soto Betawi de Indonesia<\/strong> (3er).
