Otros triunfos fueron m\u00e1s predecibles, como la fiscal Melinda Katz y el alcalde Mike Spano en Yonkers, mientras Long Island se consolid\u00f3 como territorio de la derecha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Unos comicios liderados por el absentismo sacudieron ayer el tradicional dominio casi absoluto del Partido Dem\u00f3crata en Nueva York, dejando margen a al menos tres significativos triunfos de la oposici\u00f3n republicana: la retadora Kristy Marmorato (D13-El Bronx) y la reelecta Vickie Paladino (D19-Queens) en el Concejo Municipal, y en el condado Suffolk (Long Island).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Paladino valid\u00f3 con comodidad (60.4%) su victoria de 2021 sobre Tony Avella, quien esta vez logr\u00f3 39.6% en este momento del conteo. Hace apenas dos a\u00f1os el resultado hab\u00eda sido mucho m\u00e1s cerrado: 47.2% para la republicana y 45.7% para el dem\u00f3crata.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El proyectado triunfo de Marmorato luce mucho m\u00e1s sonoro: \u201cSu victoria rompe una maldici\u00f3n republicana en El Bronx durante casi 20 a\u00f1os\u201d, ironiz\u00f3 Daily News. Sin embargo, la concejal hispana Marjorie Vel\u00e1zquez no hab\u00eda reconocido su derrota hasta anoche: con 81% de los votos contados, la ventaja de la retadora era de 52.85% versus 47.15%. Ello, en n\u00fameros relativos, es apenas 700 votos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En Yonkers, el dem\u00f3crata Mike Spano fue reelecto alcalde, cargo que ocupa desde 2012.
