{"id":42724,"date":"2023-11-09T18:33:08","date_gmt":"2023-11-09T22:33:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/romanticany.com\/?p=42724"},"modified":"2023-11-09T18:33:08","modified_gmt":"2023-11-09T22:33:08","slug":"__trashed-2268","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/romanticany.com\/?p=42724","title":{"rendered":"Celebran en Nueva York 30 aniversario de \u201cIsla Negra Editores\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/romanticany.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/WhatsApp-Image-2023-11-09-at-12.03.23-PM-1-1024x724.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-42730\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Por : Aquiles Rojas<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>NUEVA YORK; EUA. &#8211; Hace m\u00e1s de 30 a\u00f1os el poeta Carlos Roberto G\u00f3mez Beras puso tinta a su sue\u00f1o de ver toda una poes\u00eda antillana derramada en toda Am\u00e9rica; en un Caribe ancho y hondo hasta llegar a Espa\u00f1a, pasando por Italia, Praga, y m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de los Balcanes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Isla Negra Editores es una prueba de la tenacidad de un ejercicio escritural que se gesta entre islas hermanas, acercando y reclamando gestores a cada paso.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Es por ello que durante los eventos del DOMINICANA Libro &amp; Culture Festival 2023, la Editorial Isla Negra celebr\u00f3 treinta a\u00f1os de sue\u00f1os cumplidos con un conversatorio magistral entre varios de los autores que componen y dan vida al impresionante cat\u00e1logo de esta editorial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La actividad se llev\u00f3 a cabo en el Recital Hall del edificio de m\u00fasica del Lehman College.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Esta instituci\u00f3n acad\u00e9mica del Bronx y perteneciente al sistema CUNY, fue la anfitriona del festival literario y cultural. Para dar comienzo al evento, el poeta y editor Carlos Roberto G\u00f3mez Beras, agradeci\u00f3 la presencia de amigos, colaboradores y p\u00fablico en general, al tiempo que ofreci\u00f3 un poco de contexto sobre Isla Negra, un esfuerzo que editorial que \u201cbusca editar, publicar y difundir la literatura hecha en el Caribe, sobre el Caribe y por el Caribe que tanto en su forma como en su contenido.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Desde su fundaci\u00f3n en 1992, la editorial ha cumplido su objetivo de sumar escritores de \u00e1mbitos como el latinoamericano y europeo que ampl\u00edan horizontes editoriales y culturales\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El resto del panel lo integraron los escritores Carlos Canales, Kianny Antigua, Sergio Beras, Robert AB Sawyer, Ana Mar\u00eda Rua y Joseph Burgos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Durante m\u00e1s de una hora, los asistentes pudieron disfrutar de las lecturas de los participantes, as\u00ed como de an\u00e9cdotas sobre su experiencia editorial. Rey And\u00fajar, director de Cultura en el Exterior y encargado del festival, resalt\u00f3 que el legado de Isla Negra \u201cest\u00e1 relacionado con el impacto que ha tenido en la internacionalizaci\u00f3n de la literatura Dominicana y caribe\u00f1a\u201d, y mencion\u00f3 escritores como Pedro Antonio Vald\u00e9z, Rita Indiana y Pedro Cabilla, quienes publicaron sus primeros textos con esta editorial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En un entorno editorial material y financieramente precario, la Isla Negra mantiene de manera digna una postura auto-sostenible y culturalmente significativa.
