Williams fue el verdugo de los azules durante dos tercios de juego en los que solo permiti\u00f3 dos hits, acreditando a los aguiluchos el primer \u00e9xito en la apertura de la serie que atrajo a m\u00e1s de 25 mil asistentes en la noche inaugural.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Christopher Morel inici\u00f3 el vuelo de las \u00c1guilas con rodado que no manej\u00f3 el inicialista y luego avanz\u00f3 a tercera base tras sencillo al centro de Elehuris Montero, a seguidas, el nativo de Santiago de los Caballeros anot\u00f3 por hit al bosque derecho del cubano C\u00e9sar Prieto y con sencillo del montecriste\u00f1o Alexander Canario se llenaron las bases, dando paso a un elevado de sacrificio al prado izquierdo conectado por Francisco Pe\u00f1a que permiti\u00f3 a Montero anotar la segunda carrera.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A seguidas, la vicepresidenta de la Rep\u00fablica Dominicana, Raquel Pe\u00f1a, acompa\u00f1ada de la primera dama, Raquel Arbaje, realiz\u00f3 el lanzamiento de honor, mientras el miembro del Sal\u00f3n de la Fama de Cooperstown, David Ort\u00edz, fungi\u00f3 como receptor, dejando inaugurada la serie que est\u00e1 dedicada a Osvaldo Virgil, el primer jugador dominicano en llegar a las Grandes Ligas, hecho ocurrido en septiembre 23 de 1956.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AMBIENTE<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tras concluir la parte alta del s\u00e9ptimo episodio, \u00abEl Mayimbe\u00bb Fernando Villalona, int\u00e9rprete dominicano y seguido de las \u00c1guilas, se dirigi\u00f3 al homeplate para cantar \u00abMi Pueblo\u00bb (El Hijo del Patillal), canci\u00f3n con la cual puso a vibrar a todos los presentes en el parque neoyorquino. A su lado estuvo la mascota \u00abEl Aguilita\u00bb animando y ondeando la bandera dominicana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Durante todo el trayecto del encuentro se escucharon coros de ambas aficiones que se divert\u00edan lanz\u00e1ndose consignas a ritmo de g\u00fciras, cornetas y silbatos, entre otros instrumentos.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
