Dos hombres se enfrentaron con otros cuatro en el parque \u201cSara D. Roosevelt\u201d, cerca de las calles Broome y Delancy poco despu\u00e9s de las 8:30 p. m., seg\u00fan la polic\u00eda de Nueva York.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Un miembro del grupo m\u00e1s grande sac\u00f3 un cuchillo y apu\u00f1al\u00f3 al par del bando contrario: a uno en el pecho y al otro en el torso.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Param\u00e9dicos llevaron a ambas v\u00edctimas al Hospital Bellevue, donde muri\u00f3 el hombre apu\u00f1alado en el pecho. No fue identificado de inmediato y tampoco se han anunciado arrestos. La otra v\u00edctima, tambi\u00e9n hace 24 a\u00f1os, se encontraba en condici\u00f3n estable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La escena del crimen es un estrecho pero largo parque que se extiende por siete cuadras y est\u00e1 rodeado de refugios. Ha sido durante mucho tiempo un punto cr\u00edtico para el tr\u00e1fico y el consumo de drogas y los campamentos para personas sin hogar, acot\u00f3 Daily News.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Este a\u00f1o ha habido varios casos de muertes y heridos en parques de Nueva York vinculados con personas sin hogar y\/o sobredosis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Un reciente reporte de NYPD alert\u00f3 que los apu\u00f1alamientos mortales han subido 29% este a\u00f1o en la ciudad en comparaci\u00f3n con antes de la pandemia (2019). A mediados de agosto mataron a un hombre mientras dorm\u00eda en un parque cerca del cuartel central de la polic\u00eda de Nueva York.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En otro caso similar, en julio una pelea entre hombres sin hogar dej\u00f3 a una v\u00edctima fatalmente apu\u00f1alada en Washington Square, iconogr\u00e1fico parque de Manhattan plagado por la violencia en los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os, a pesar de estar en plena zona universitaria NYU, junto al bohemio vecindario Greenwich Village y el comienzo de la elegante 5ta Avenida.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>D\u00edas despu\u00e9s un hispano muri\u00f3 apu\u00f1alado \u201cal azar\u201d mientras dorm\u00eda en un banco del muelle 84 en Hudson River Park, entre el terminal tur\u00edstico Circle Line y el Intrepid Museum, en Midtown West, Manhattan.
