Pues en su debut vencieron 2-1 a su similar de Paraguay en el NRG Stadium de Houston con un James Rodr\u00edguez como capit\u00e1n y figura del combinado cafetero.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Y es que el dorsal \u201c10\u201d colombiano hizo un excelente partido tras repartir dos asistencias para los dos tantos de Colombia. Una a Daniel Mu\u00f1oz y otra a Jefferson Lerma para la victoria de su selecci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Con estos dos pases de gol de Rodr\u00edguez el cucute\u00f1o de 32 a\u00f1os entr\u00f3 a la historia de su selecci\u00f3n e igual\u00f3 a Carlos \u201cEl Pibe\u201d Valderrama como \u00fanicos colombianos en dar al menos una asistencia en tres ediciones diferentes de Copa Am\u00e9rica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El legendario Valderrama logr\u00f3 esta haza\u00f1a tras destacar con al menos una asistencia en las ediciones de Copa Am\u00e9rica de 1987, 1991 y 1995. Mientras que James Rodr\u00edguez hizo lo propio en las presentaciones de 2016, 2019 y 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>James Rodr\u00edguez podr\u00eda destronar a Valderrama<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Con sus dos asistencias ante Paraguay en Copa Am\u00e9rica James no solo igual\u00f3 esta haza\u00f1a de su compatriota Valderrama. Sino que tiene la posibilidad de destronar un r\u00e9cord hist\u00f3rico del \u201cPibe\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Y es que actualmente James Rodr\u00edguez cuenta con cinco asistencias en Copa Am\u00e9rica. Mientras que Valderrama solo tiene una m\u00e1s que el zurdo mediocampista, por lo que en esta edici\u00f3n de Estados Unidos el exjugador del Real Madrid podr\u00eda convertirse en el m\u00e1ximo asistidor de Colombia en Copa Am\u00e9rica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Con la salvedad de que Rodr\u00edguez podr\u00eda hacerlo en muchos menos partidos.
