El primer ministro Narendra Modi ofreci\u00f3 una indemnizaci\u00f3n a los familiares y heridos.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Al menos 116 personas murieron aplastadas y centenares resultaron heridas este martes en una estampida durante una celebraci\u00f3n religiosa en el norte de India, indic\u00f3 un alto funcionario local.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Los fieles se hab\u00edan congregado para o\u00edr a un gur\u00fa en las celebraciones en honor a la deidad hind\u00fa Shiva en la ciudad de Hathras, pero una tormenta de arena sembr\u00f3 el p\u00e1nico cuando la multitud se estaba dispersando.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Muchos perecieron aplastados o pisoteados y algunas cayeron a un zanj\u00f3n que corre junto a una carretera.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La mayor\u00eda de los fallecidos son mujeres, dijo a la prensa el m\u00e9dico jefe m\u00e9dico de Uttar Pradesh, Umesh Kumar Tripathi. \u201cMuchos heridos\u201d fueron trasladados al hospital por decenas de ambulancias, se\u00f1al\u00f3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El primer ministro Narendra Modi anunci\u00f3 una indemnizaci\u00f3n de $2,400 d\u00f3lares a los familiares de los fallecidos y de 600 d\u00f3lares a los heridos en el \u201ctr\u00e1gico incidente\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cMi m\u00e1s sentido p\u00e9same para aquellos que han perdido a sus seres queridos (\u2026).
