Esta medida busca evitar que Riibe abandone el pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Konanki, estudiante de la Universidad de Pittsburgh, lleg\u00f3 a Punta Cana el 3 de marzo con cinco amigas para disfrutar de las vacaciones de primavera. Fue vista por \u00faltima vez en la madrugada del 6 de marzo, tras una visita a la playa con su grupo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Los abogados de Riibe han declarado que su cliente ha permanecido confinado en el hotel desde el inicio de la investigaci\u00f3n y es escoltado constantemente por la polic\u00eda. \u00abNo es libre de irse\u00bb, afirmaron, destacando las restricciones impuestas por las autoridades. La procuradora general de la Rep\u00fablica, Yeni Berenice Reynoso, interrog\u00f3 al joven en el hotel Riu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El incidente ocurri\u00f3 tras una visita a la playa en horas de la madrugada. Seg\u00fan una transcripci\u00f3n de su testimonio, Riibe relat\u00f3 que una fuerte ola los arrastr\u00f3 mar adentro mientras conversaban y se besaban en el agua. Asegur\u00f3 haber regresado con Konanki a la orilla, pero luego la perdi\u00f3 de vista.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00abLa \u00faltima vez que la vi, le pregunt\u00e9 si estaba bien. No escuch\u00e9 su respuesta. Mir\u00e9 a mi alrededor y no vi a nadie. Pens\u00e9 que hab\u00eda tomado sus cosas y se hab\u00eda ido\u00bb, declar\u00f3 Riibe a los investigadores. Se mostr\u00f3 sorprendido al enterarse de la desaparici\u00f3n de la joven.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Equipos de b\u00fasqueda conformados por varias instituciones han intensificado los operativos en la zona costera de B\u00e1varo con la esperanza de encontrar a la estudiante. Hasta el momento, las autoridades dominicanas no han emitido una declaraci\u00f3n oficial sobre el caso. Riibe no ha sido formalmente acusado ni catalogado como sospechoso.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Desde el resort donde se encuentra hospedado, Riibe declar\u00f3 brevemente a los medios: \u00abSolo estoy tratando de ayudarles. El oc\u00e9ano es un lugar peligroso\u00bb, refiri\u00e9ndose a las condiciones en las que ocurrieron los hechos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Las investigaciones contin\u00faan, mientras la comunidad y los familiares de Konanki esperan respuestas sobre su paradero.
