Queremos que nuestros hermanos en la Rep\u00fablica Dominicana sepan que no est\u00e1n solos. Desde Nueva York, nos unimos al dolor de cada familia afectada y reafirmamos nuestro compromiso con la comunidad dominicana\u201d, afirm\u00f3 \u00c1lvarez.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Durante el acto, \u00c1lvarez expres\u00f3 sus condolencias a las familias afectadas por la tragedia que dej\u00f3 al menos 226 fallecidos y m\u00e1s de 200 hospitalizados. Tambi\u00e9n pidi\u00f3 por la pronta recuperaci\u00f3n de los heridos y destac\u00f3 la necesidad de mantenerse unidos en oraci\u00f3n y acci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/romanticany.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/WhatsApp-Image-2025-04-14-at-7.08.37-PM-1-768x1024.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-76283\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>La vigilia, organizada por el movimiento Avanzado con George, reuni\u00f3 a decenas de miembros de la comunidad dominicana en El Bronx. Nancy Medina, directora de Asuntos Comunitarios de la Oficina Distrital del Asamble\u00edsta \u00c1lvarez, destac\u00f3 la fortaleza del pueblo dominicano y la importancia de la solidaridad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHoy nos unimos como comunidad para abrazar a todo un pa\u00eds que se encuentra triste y desconsolado, desde aqu\u00ed, nuestro amor y apoyo cruzan fronteras\u201d, expres\u00f3 Medina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El evento tuvo lugar en la Iglesia Our Lady of Refuge, ubicada en el 290 E 196th St, Bronx, NY 10458.
