El legislador alert\u00f3 que su provincia, San Pedro de Macor\u00eds, sufre especialmente las consecuencias del descontrol migratorio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHay que regularizarlos, no darles residencia ni nacionalidad, pero si un haitiano comete un acto delincuencial, no se sabe qui\u00e9n fue\u201d, sostuvo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El legislador propuso realizar un levantamiento nacional utilizando la base de datos biom\u00e9tricos, con el objetivo de tener un registro preciso de los ciudadanos haitianos en territorio dominicano.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cTenemos la tecnolog\u00eda, tenemos los datos. Lo que falta es voluntad pol\u00edtica para controlar la migraci\u00f3n sin caer en la discriminaci\u00f3n ni en el desorden institucional\u201d, afirm\u00f3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tav\u00e1rez reconoci\u00f3 que sectores clave de la econom\u00eda dominicana como la agricultura, construcci\u00f3n y turismo dependen en gran medida de la mano de obra haitiana.
