Los datos preliminares del Ministerio de Salud para el a\u00f1o 2024 registran 180 muertes maternas, de las cuales 94 corresponder\u00edan a mujeres dominicanas y 86 a mujeres haitianas y a dominicanas de ascendencia haitiana, para una tasa de mortalidad materna de 125\/100,000, muy por encima del promedio regional de 77\/100,000 para Am\u00e9rica Latina\/Caribe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Compromiso del Ministerio de Salud, el Colegio M\u00e9dico Dominicano y los gremios del sector para defender los derechos de las mujeres en todos los niveles del sistema de salud. Santo Domingo. \u2013 En el marco del D\u00eda Internacional de Acci\u00f3n por la Salud de las Mujeres, organizaciones de la sociedad civil denunciaron las graves barreras que enfrentan las mujeres, especialmente migrantes, para acceder a servicios de salud adecuados.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Las entidades exigen el cese inmediato de las deportaciones de mujeres embarazadas y reci\u00e9n paridas, as\u00ed como la eliminaci\u00f3n de obst\u00e1culos que impiden el ejercicio del derecho a la salud, reconocido en tratados internacionales y en la Constituci\u00f3n dominicana. \u00abHay una situaci\u00f3n deplorable con relaci\u00f3n a la salud y la noci\u00f3n que ha tomado el Gobierno con relaci\u00f3n a mujeres paridas, embarazadas y ni\u00f1os lactantes es una situaci\u00f3n deshumanizante. No podemos entender que el Gobierno dominicano tome medida de esta naturaleza que afecta la vida y a la salud\u00bb, manifest\u00f3 Juana Ferrer Paredes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mientras continuaban vociferando \u00ab5% para la salud\u00bb \u00abMujeres embarazadas, cero deportaci\u00f3n\u00bb en las inmediaciones del Ministerio de Salud P\u00fablica.
