Este acto marca el restablecimiento de la representaci\u00f3n diplom\u00e1tica haitiana en Rep\u00fablica Dominicana, que hab\u00eda estado vacante desde 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Contexto y Tensiones<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La vacante se gener\u00f3 tras la destituci\u00f3n del entonces embajador haitiano Smith Augustin en 2022, en un contexto de tensiones entre ambos pa\u00edses. Hait\u00ed y Rep\u00fablica Dominicana han tenido relaciones diplom\u00e1ticas tensas debido a varios factores, incluyendo la construcci\u00f3n de un canal de riego sobre el r\u00edo Dajab\u00f3n-Masacre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Otros Embajadores<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Adem\u00e1s de Longchamp, otros seis embajadores de Chile, Rusia, Georgia, Kuwait, Mongolia y Vietnam tambi\u00e9n presentaron sus cartas credenciales al presidente Abinader, quien estuvo acompa\u00f1ado por el ministro de Relaciones Exteriores, Roberto \u00c1lvarez.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Medidas ante la Crisis<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ante la crisis en Hait\u00ed, caracterizada por la violencia de bandas armadas y el debilitamiento institucional, el gobierno dominicano ha tomado medidas como el cierre de sus consulados en Hait\u00ed y la suspensi\u00f3n de vuelos comerciales y de carga. Estas acciones se han visto como una respuesta a lo que el presidente Abinader calific\u00f3 como una \u00abprovocaci\u00f3n\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Restablecimiento del Di\u00e1logo<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La llegada de Longchamp a Santo Domingo abre una nueva etapa que podr\u00eda facilitar el restablecimiento del di\u00e1logo y la cooperaci\u00f3n entre ambos pa\u00edses. Aunque no hubo un embajador haitiano en el pa\u00eds, siempre hubo un jefe de Misi\u00f3n en la Embajada de Hait\u00ed que manten\u00eda las conversaciones, seg\u00fan la canciller\u00eda dominicana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Trayectoria de Longchamp<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Longchamp es licenciado en ciencias humanas y lenguas extranjeras, con una destacada trayectoria en la diplomacia haitiana.
