Ten\u00eda 69 a\u00f1os y fuentes cercanas indican que muri\u00f3 tras sufrir un infarto card\u00edaco.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Vocero de gobierno y estratega comunicacional<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Marchena fue el portavoz oficial del Estado dominicano entre 2012 y 2020, encargado de transmitir las acciones del gobierno a trav\u00e9s de conferencias de prensa y redes sociales. Su llegada marc\u00f3 un punto de inflexi\u00f3n en la comunicaci\u00f3n institucional digital del pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adem\u00e1s de su labor p\u00fablica, era conocido por su lealtad pol\u00edtica hacia Danilo Medina, habiendo sido uno de sus colaboradores m\u00e1s cercanos durante todo su mandato.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">De renuncia sonada a liderazgo interno en el PLD<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Antes de trabajar con Medina, fue vocero del presidente Leonel Fern\u00e1ndez. En 2006 decidi\u00f3 dejar el cargo para apoyar p\u00fablicamente a Medina como candidato presidencial, una decisi\u00f3n que gener\u00f3 gran impacto pol\u00edtico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os, se desempe\u00f1\u00f3 como coordinador de comunicaciones de la campa\u00f1a de Abel Mart\u00ednez en 2023 y logr\u00f3 formar parte del Comit\u00e9 Pol\u00edtico del PLD en octubre de 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Legado familiar y profesional<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Naci\u00f3 el 8 de agosto de 1955, estaba casado con Rosa Rita \u00c1lvarez y era padre de dos hijos: Carlos Alejandro y Liliana.
