El homicidio ocurri\u00f3 a pocas cuadras del Barclays Center, donde se celebraba el Draft de la NBA, un evento anual donde los equipos seleccionan jugadores j\u00f3venes para unirse a sus plantillas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El incidente tuvo lugar a solo dos cuadras de donde vive la madre de Powell, Norma Campbell. \u00abMi hija recibi\u00f3 una llamada diciendo que su hermana mayor hab\u00eda muerto en la calle y hab\u00eda sido asesinada\u00bb, declar\u00f3 Campbell desconsolada. \u00abNos levantamos de un salto y corr\u00ed all\u00ed con mi esposo, y ella estaba tirada en la calle bajo una s\u00e1bana blanca.
