Durante su participaci\u00f3n en \u00abLa Semanal con la Prensa\u00bb en el Palacio Nacional, Abinader defendi\u00f3 a Senasa como una entidad dedicada a la salud p\u00fablica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00abEl d\u00eda de hoy Senasa no es un negocio. Es una misi\u00f3n parte de la pol\u00edtica p\u00fablica de salud, que es dedicada a proteger la salud, la vida de todos los dominicanos, su vocaci\u00f3n\u00bb, afirm\u00f3 Abinader. Adem\u00e1s, el presidente asegur\u00f3 que Senasa no busca el lucro y que est\u00e1 garantizada la cobertura de salud para todos los dominicanos, tanto en el sistema contributivo como en el subsidiado, mientras \u00e9l sea presidente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Abinader tambi\u00e9n invit\u00f3 a reflexionar sobre los beneficios que Senasa ha aportado a millones de personas, preguntando si consideran que Senasa es pol\u00edtica o salud. \u00abY ser\u00eda bueno preguntarle a los millones que se han favorecido; nuevos integrantes de Senasa, a toda los nuevos cantidades de servicios que se le han dado los dominicanos en la dominicana, si esto es pol\u00edtica o salud\u00bb, concluy\u00f3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fern\u00e1ndez, por su parte, ha criticado la situaci\u00f3n financiera de Senasa, argumentando que el programa ha sido utilizado con fines electorales y clientelistas, lo que ha llevado a una falta de fondos para su correcto funcionamiento.
