La entidad destac\u00f3 su invaluable contribuci\u00f3n al rescate de la memoria colectiva de la naci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En un comunicado, la DGCine resalt\u00f3 que el legado art\u00edstico de Fortunato y su incansable compromiso con la historia y la identidad dominicana han sido fundamentales para el fortalecimiento de la cinematograf\u00eda del pa\u00eds. Su trabajo se caracteriz\u00f3 por una visi\u00f3n rigurosa y una narrativa comprometida, documentando no solo personajes y procesos, sino tambi\u00e9n sembrando conciencia en generaciones de cineastas y ciudadanos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fortunato fue el creador de obras se\u00f1eras como &#8216;Abril: La trinchera del honor&#8217;, la trilog\u00eda sobre el exdictador Rafael Trujillo, &#8216;Balaguer: La herencia del tirano&#8217; y &#8216;Bosch: Presidente en la frontera imperial&#8217;, entre otros trabajos que marcaron un hito en la historia del documental dominicano.
