Durante su intervenci\u00f3n en \u00abLa Semanal con la Prensa\u00bb, el mandatario asegur\u00f3 que la planificaci\u00f3n y ejecuci\u00f3n de los trabajos avanza a buen ritmo, especialmente en lo relativo a la infraestructura deportiva.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Infraestructura y Preparativos<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El presidente Abinader expres\u00f3 su confianza en que el pa\u00eds estar\u00e1 listo varios meses antes del evento, destacando que se est\u00e1n remodelando las principales instalaciones deportivas del pa\u00eds. Entre estas se incluyen el Centro Ol\u00edmpico Juan Pablo Duarte, el Estadio Ol\u00edmpico F\u00e9lix S\u00e1nchez, y el Palacio de los Deportes Virgilio Travieso Soto, adem\u00e1s de otras sedes en las regiones norte y este. Estas mejoras representan una inversi\u00f3n estrat\u00e9gica que beneficiar\u00e1 al deporte nacional m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de los Juegos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Villa Deportiva y Beneficios a Largo Plazo<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Abinader detall\u00f3 que la villa deportiva, que alojar\u00e1 a m\u00e1s de 6,000 atletas y oficiales de al menos 31 pa\u00edses, estar\u00e1 concluida varios meses antes del evento. Una vez finalizados los Juegos, los apartamentos construidos por el sector privado ser\u00e1n integrados al programa de viviendas \u00abFamilia Feliz\u00bb, facilitando su adquisici\u00f3n a familias dominicanas. Adem\u00e1s, el presidente resalt\u00f3 el respaldo y la coordinaci\u00f3n con Centro Caribe Sports, organismo rector del evento, cuyos delegados han manifestado satisfacci\u00f3n con el progreso de los preparativos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Importancia del Evento<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Los Juegos Centroamericanos y del Caribe Santo Domingo 2026 tendr\u00e1n un car\u00e1cter especial al coincidir con el centenario de la fundaci\u00f3n de Centro Caribe Sports, consolid\u00e1ndose como un evento de gran relevancia para la regi\u00f3n.
