Sin embargo, la normativa sigue <strong>retenida<\/strong> en el Senado, generando <strong>preocupaci\u00f3n<\/strong> por su posible impacto en la <strong>gesti\u00f3n de desechos<\/strong> y el <strong>medio ambiente<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Abinader a la espera<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Durante <em>La Semanal con la Prensa<\/em>, Abinader declar\u00f3: <em>\u00abVamos a esperar que nos lo env\u00ede el Senado y nosotros haremos las observaciones\u00bb<\/em>. La ley fue aprobada por el <strong>Senado en enero<\/strong> y por la <strong>C\u00e1mara de Diputados en julio<\/strong>, pero a\u00fan no ha sido enviada al <strong>Poder Ejecutivo<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Cr\u00edticas por posible monopolio<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>La normativa ha sido <strong>cuestionada<\/strong> por sectores que consideran que podr\u00eda <strong>favorecer a un monopolio privado<\/strong> en el manejo de los residuos. <strong>Pedro Richardson<\/strong>, presidente de la <strong>Fedodim<\/strong>, acus\u00f3 al presidente del Senado, <strong>Ricardo de los Santos<\/strong>, de mantener la ley <strong>\u00abengavetada\u00bb<\/strong>, lo que afecta la <strong>salud p\u00fablica y el medio ambiente<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Consecuencias de la demora<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Richardson advirti\u00f3 que la <strong>falta de aprobaci\u00f3n<\/strong> de la ley perjudica la <strong>gesti\u00f3n de residuos<\/strong> en los municipios, afectando la <strong>higiene, el ornato y la protecci\u00f3n ambiental<\/strong>. <em>\u00abLa no vigencia de esta ley perjudica a los habitantes de todo el pa\u00eds\u00bb<\/em>, afirm\u00f3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Pr\u00f3ximos pasos<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Abinader ya hab\u00eda anunciado en <strong>julio<\/strong> que, al recibir la ley, la <strong>devolver\u00eda al Congreso con observaciones<\/strong>.
