El acto, liderado por el ministro de Turismo, David Collado, marc\u00f3 un hito en los esfuerzos por preservar el patrimonio cultural y religioso de Santo Domingo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Inversi\u00f3n en modernidad y conservaci\u00f3n<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El proyecto, financiado por la Sociedad Industrial Dominicana (SID) y el Ministerio de Turismo, incluy\u00f3 la instalaci\u00f3n de aire acondicionado, plantas el\u00e9ctricas y un nuevo sistema de iluminaci\u00f3n. Adem\u00e1s, se solucionaron problemas estructurales, como las filtraciones que afectaban el interior del templo durante las lluvias, da\u00f1ando sus archivos y la experiencia de los fieles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>La comunidad celebra el cambio<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Los residentes del sector San Miguel no dudaron en expresar su gratitud. Carmen Mazara, vecina y representante comunitaria, destac\u00f3 que la iglesia \u00ablo necesitaba urgentemente\u00bb, ya que las goteras arruinaban las celebraciones. \u00abEste 29 de septiembre, cuando celebremos el aniversario de San Miguel, lo haremos en un templo completamente renovado\u00bb, dijo con emoci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Un futuro con m\u00e1s mejoras<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Collado anunci\u00f3 que, en octubre, se iniciar\u00e1 la licitaci\u00f3n para la segunda etapa de remodelaci\u00f3n de la calle El Conde, un proyecto que busca recuperar su esplendor hist\u00f3rico y comercial. Tambi\u00e9n se implementar\u00e1 un plan de seguridad con c\u00e1maras de vigilancia y mayor presencia policial, en coordinaci\u00f3n con el Sistema 911 y la Armada Dominicana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Un legado para las pr\u00f3ximas generaciones<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Esta intervenci\u00f3n es parte de un programa m\u00e1s amplio que incluye la restauraci\u00f3n de 12 iglesias en la Zona Colonial.
