De los <strong>2,043 miembros<\/strong> que conforman la Direcci\u00f3n Central, <strong>1,833<\/strong> acudieron a las urnas, que estuvieron distribuidas en <strong>11 mesas de votaci\u00f3n<\/strong> en la <strong>Casa del Pueblo Johnny Ventura<\/strong> y la <strong>Casa Nacional Esteban D\u00edaz J\u00e1quez<\/strong>, ubicadas en la avenida Bol\u00edvar y en el sector Gazcue de Santo Domingo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El <strong>presidente y l\u00edder de la FP, Leonel Fern\u00e1ndez<\/strong>, destac\u00f3 el <strong>entusiasmo y la unidad<\/strong> que se vivi\u00f3 durante el proceso electoral, afirmando que este congreso es <strong>\u00abla antesala del gran triunfo electoral que se avecina en mayo del 2028\u00bb<\/strong>. Fern\u00e1ndez resalt\u00f3 que este proceso <strong>fortalece al partido<\/strong>, ya que, por primera vez, los dirigentes est\u00e1n siendo <strong>elegidos democr\u00e1ticamente<\/strong>, lo que <strong>valida y legitima<\/strong> su condici\u00f3n como l\u00edderes. <strong>\u00abEn la Fuerza del Pueblo, empezando por m\u00ed como presidente, nunca hab\u00edamos sido electos, \u00e9ramos de hecho, y por tanto este congreso elector lo que hace es que valida y legitima la condici\u00f3n de dirigentes del partido\u00bb<\/strong>, declar\u00f3 Fern\u00e1ndez.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El l\u00edder opositor tambi\u00e9n subray\u00f3 que, con este congreso, la FP est\u00e1 <strong>definiendo una pol\u00edtica de oposici\u00f3n respetuosa pero firme<\/strong>, siempre en <strong>defensa del inter\u00e9s nacional<\/strong>. <strong>\u00abDe manera formal estamos definiendo una pol\u00edtica de oposici\u00f3n, respetuosa, pero firme y en defensa siempre del inter\u00e9s nacional\u00bb<\/strong>, afirm\u00f3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Entre los primeros en votar estuvieron el <strong>senador por el Distrito Nacional, Omar Fern\u00e1ndez<\/strong>, el <strong>vicepresidente del partido, Radham\u00e9s Jim\u00e9nez Pe\u00f1a<\/strong>, y el <strong>secretario general, Antonio Flori\u00e1n (Pe\u00f1ita)<\/strong>.
